«We had a wonderful two night stay at the Linthwaite House Hotel. Very nice and attentive staff, comfortable rooms and a beautiful location. Upon our late arrival the welcoming staff prepared sandwiches and drinks for us in the lovely lounge area even though the kitchen was closed. We tried the tasting menu which was delicious. The stay exceeded our expectations and we will definitely come again!»

«Vi bodde her én natt som første stopp på turen vår til Lake District, og kunne ikke valgt et bedre sted å starte. Flott beliggenhet, både idyllisk og sentralt. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme, og den tilhørende puben hadde god mat, veldig god frokost og skikkelig god kaffe. Et sted med hyggelig atmosfære som vi gjerne kommer tilbake til.»

«We had 2 very good nights sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. Funny was the mirror in the bathroom was fitted well high up, you can not see yourself if you are about 5 ft tall. The shower screen was a bit narrow for the long shower tray, the floor got very wet when having shower.»

«Strange entrance to our room as had to hold the fire door open and room door to get the cases in. Room was clean as was bathroom although bath panel very scruffy. Due to the style of sink turning the tap on causes a tidal wave and wets you through so have to use cautiously! Had to pay for parking as didn’t book directly with hotel.»

«Unbelievable apartment!!! What a find, from the moment I found The Rockefeller on Expedia to arrival through to the end of the stay everything was the best!! «Clean, comfortable room, rather spacious, and overlooking the lake. Located at the heart of Bowness on Windermere, close to the promenade. The only drawback was the breakfast- one had to queue to access the breakfast lounge, and the staff was utterly disorganised, making mistakes etc.»

«There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and parking was a nightmare; other cars were in the spot that were suppose to be designated for the listing. We had to pay to park over night. Pill out bed is not very comfortable. The host had great communication when we had trouble with accessing the check in instructions. Overall, wish the dishes in the dishwasher had been dealt with correctly as we planned on eating breakfast there in the morning before leaving but had no clean cutlery!»

«I’m very disappointed because this property is simply not accurately advertised. The accommodation itself is nice, but several of the facilities that influenced my decision to book DO NOT EXIST as advertised. Expedia clearly lists a restaurant, bar/lounge and full-service spa, including massage, and shows spa/sauna facilities. In reality, there is NO restaurant, NO bar and NO full-service spa. «Hydro hotel occupies an old building with spacious hallways and rooms. No elevators. The rooms do nor have the standard that we have come to expect today, but they are clean and everthing is working. All personell is service minded. On the positive side I was positively surprised by the quality of the food served at dinner: excellent!. »
