Hi, Amanda, so sorry to hear you and your mum Christine were not happy with the extra charge of 25 using a 2nd bed in the room which covers the cost of all the extra linen to be cleaned which was explained to you by my receptionist which then was refunded back to you straight away with no problems.Travel safe!Janet :-)

Don’t know how the outside mat is very wet and stinks, every time I try to go inside just makes the room worse. The lady at reception is not really friendly.

This is my second stay but this time for more than 1 night. Although check-in was fast I had to return to the reception to complain about a noisy fan. No onsite maintenance or even someone avalible to have a look. I also wanted to talk to the maintenance guy about the lack of internet in the room so the TV was useless. Fridge although cold didn't have a working freezer. All things I could have had rectified immediately on check-in. Further to this I requested a room swap but was told no, we are full booked. There wasn't full rooms for the duration I was there so I could have been swapped. I also found smokers all over the property which is infuriating inclusive of butts left on the sand and grassed area. The pool area is horrible and exposed to the sun, there is no shade for children or table I won't be staying there again nor my guests

Sorry to hear Justin you had an unpleasant experience with us :-( After investigation the fan needs replacing by an electrician so thank you for bringing it to our attention.Bar fridges only have an ice block space, you needed to book a room with a fridge freezer.Yes, the Wi-Fi goes on holiday mode which makes it slow at times. this cannot be rectified after 5 years of trying with Telstra etc.Smokers cannot smoke on any balconies or patios hence that they smoke around the tables on the grounds. This is out of our control where they throw their butts.Yes, we were fully booked so we could not move you.We noticed that you had a child with you if you had said 3 people on your booking you would not have been able to book the ocean queen room. Also, the "maintenance man passed you on Saturday morning and would have listened to your complaints or instead of putting your key in the box you should have come into reception and spoke to us the managers.All the best for the future Justin and thank you for choosing to stay with us and letting us know you will not be back.Stay safe.Janet :-)Janet :-)

Excellent property on a fantastic location, next to the beach. The hotel manager was very pleasant and polite and offered advice about local sites and dining options. I was welcomed by a gorgeous grey cat at reception, that topped off my visit. Great place, I highly recommend it.

Whitsunday Sands resort has great views over the bay. The connecting door between rooms makes it easy to overhear conversations from the other room. A noise dampening solution is required.
