Slitent hotell med flott beliggenheten
Det var et meget gamelt og slitent hotell. Engelsk standard. Men beliggenheten var kjempebra og sentralt.

Behagelig opphold
Jeg hadde et veldig hyggelig opphold på East Cliff Court. De oppgraderte rommet mitt til suite uten forespørsel. Nydelig beliggenhet og utsikt, flott service!

Bra beliggenhet og god service
Jeg er veldig fornøyd med oppholdet på Menzies! Veldig bra service, både ved innsjekk midt på natten, og av resten av personalet. Hotellet kunne trengt noe vedlikehold, men sjarm, renhold og ikke minst beliggenhet mer enn veier opp for litt småsprekker o.l. Fantastisk utsikt fra felles terrasse på fremsiden av hotellet. God frokost. Litt hard seng. Jeg reiser gjerne tilbake!

Have seen better days
Great location, but the hotel have seen better days. Booked the hotel from internet as it looked very nice with a lovely terasse and a outdor swimmingpool. When we arrived half of the terrasse was closed and also the swimming pool. Not good in the summer season! We also had a room with hot afternoon sun and no arcondition.

Menzies East Cliff Court with kids
Family of four (2 adults and two kids aged 2 and 6)went to Bournemouth mid July 2011. We made reservation for a family room, and got a nice and spacious room for 4 people (no seaview). The hotel was good in most ways, with nice seaview from the lounge / balcony outside the lounge. We missed a small fridge / minibar for keeping our water and additional breakfast supplies cool (the youngest ones were not too happy with the english breaksfast buffet...), and we would loved to have a balcony in connection with the room where the adults could to hang out after the children were put to bed. But we didn't ask for it so I don't really complain about that. What I do think was less satisfactory: The pool was closed and we didn't get any information about this in advance. The hotel did arrange for us to use the pool at another hotel, so we did get a swim, but our lazy days got more complicated this way, and the pool was a weighty factor on choosing hotel. Another thing: the hotel isn't very good to enter & exit with a puschair, and there are noe playgrounds nearby (as we could find). The Menzies East Cliff Court Hotel is a nice hotel, but they don't make efforts to be a family hotel and therefor it might not the first choice for a those travelling with small children.

Hotellet kunne med fordel legge ut flere bilder av hotellet og omgivelsene, det som finnes er begrenset. Det er en flott utsikt utover havet og langs kysten fra noen av rommene og fra baren og balkongen på utsiden av denne. Det er en fin spasertur langs toppen av klippen og inn til byen i flotte omgivelser - på fortau og 2 forskjellige gangstier - legg gjerne bilder av dette på hjemmesiden. Jo færre bilder - jo mer skeptisk kan man bli. Hotellet ligger i rolige omgivelser - ikke mye støy.

We stayed here during a sunny weekend and had to change rooms due to heating on and radiators boiling the temperature in bedrooms uncomfortable over 27 degrees at some parts also every foot step through out our floor shook the floor boards and windows

We loved the sea view in our room and the balcony. But I was ignored by two reception staff while waiting for over 10 mins, the second staff member didn’t acknowledge I was waiting. Plus house keeping walked in unannounced, when.

Hotel was nice as you entered and the ground floor was well decorated but the rooms were very tired. Wardrobe doors were hanging off and our room needed decorating badly, room size was great with plenty of room, it was dog friendly so I assume this was the reason. Staff were very friendly but slow as we constantly ran out of milk and tea in the room. Would not stay there again.

A lovely hotel, however a xmas party of 200 people carried on into the morning - so our restful break was ruined. It was fine up until then. Good staff but no one would answer my call 1am in the morning so I will be writing to the GM. Cut off for 12.00 2wpupd have been fine. :(

We were very disappointed, we booked in for the night so we could attend a birthday party in the next door hotel.my sister drove down from London so we arrived at 4oclock with every intention of having a drink in the bar beforehand only to be told on arrival it was the last day of trading and that the bar was shut. Our rooms were a big let down, bathroom smelt of urine, curtains hanging off the rail and chairs were badly marked. I didn’t bother showering in the morning as couldn’t stand the smell.I think if it’s the last day of trading we should have been notified about the bar ect on booking and should never of been charged the full price.

Room was clean but no facilities in hotel, couldn’t get a drink in hotel after I spoke directly to Best Western on Friday after a couple of reviews said about facilities being closed, but was assured everything was open, two staff on duty Saturday night were less than helpful with helping us with a taxi

Overnight family holiday
The room was great. Too bad there is no access for prams so i had to carry it up the stairs. Joey was the best. She made sure our stay was comfortable and went the extra mile to provide a 5 star service. She is very good with kids as well. Someone give her a promotion!

I think the hotel need to be painted, clean the balcony. When we come there the swimming pool is broken. It so nice the pool but we cannot use it. They have to look at it. The hotel seems tired However the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is not bad as well.

Run down, unclean and staff disinterested but goo.
Check in girl was pleasant but had an issue with body odour whxj was very unpleasant. The marble reception top was greasy and dirty as was the entrance and lift in the hotel. There was a linen napkin, a box of cigarettes and other rubbish in the plants by the reception door when we arrived which was still there when we left 2 days later. The other check in staff that we spoke to were very blunt and uninterested in helping us with our enquiries. The pool was closed so we were told to use the pool At the sister hotel but when we arrived there this too was closed and remained closed for the duration of our stay. Very disappointed overall with our stay as the sister hotel next door was the complete opposite when we stayed there in October. On a positive note, the breakfast was very good as is the location.

My check in was great! Joey and the other receptionist were amazing! So friendly, playful with my dog and just polite to all hotel guests who passed by. I cannot praise them enough! In terms of the room, bed was comfortable, fairly clean room and no smells. Outside of building definitely needs some work - cobwebs everywhere, wood damage; just not the best entrances to a hotel. And paid parking! That was too expensive £20! :( They only serve breakfast but I missed it. Good thing is you are allowed to order in from outside. Their sister hotel has all the facilities but I didn’t visit any. Overall, will stay again for staff friendliness not hotel facilities.

Location amazing but needs TLC in places
was very sceptical about staying here looking at the reviews and knowing i will have to pay for parking for 3 nights. Arrived and the place looks very ran down from the outside needs abit of tlc. Walk inside and it does look very nice and classy but the welcoming wasn’t amazing. we asked for an early check in and arrived about 1 ish to check in the lady who checked us in was very welcoming and reassuring and put me at ease tbh. We arrived at our room and thank god it wasn’t as bad some of the reviews i see. although some light bulbs didn’t work and you could feel on the carpet it needed a good hoover. Little touches like at breakfast the window sill and loads of dust and dirt on it breakfast was extremely basic, bacon looked like it would still go oink 🐷 and it was the same food every day. When walking past reception a smile or a welcome wouldn’t go a miss either it’s just the little tocuhes really that make your stay a lot nicer. The parking was a joke £20 a night to park in the car park , might cheaper to park on the road and checking out i had to pay £15 early check in fee which was fine but a please or a thank you wouldn’t go a miss. Location was the best thing about this place, but deffo needs some tlc rooms and outside their pool could be lovely rather than sending everyone over to the carlton hotel it could be a really nice place with a lot of potential.
