«Pros: Location was excellent, right next to the Loire. Very peaceful in a village that has some amenities. We made use of the tabac/bar where the locals were very friendly. Also an excellent bakery and a cafe on the river (only open Thursday to Sunday and book in advance). Good base to explore local chateaux and vinyards. Host was in regular contact about WiFi difficulties, which were then solved. Cons: Heat in the top bedroom. My daughter ended up sleeping in the lounge. However, the weather ...

14. Stay in the heart of nature between Tours and Angers

Saint-Philbert-du-Peuple

«A very spacious property both inside and out. Very well equipped, and appearing to be further developed. Very good kitchen, bbq and outside areas and a rather quirky inside layout. Lots of space for families with children. We had an issue at one point and the owners, who are charming people, were very quick to respond and to try and sort things out. The pool, of course, is excellent, particularly as we had extremely hot weather.»
