«The man at the front desk just handed me a key. He did not say anything about the breakfast, gym or dock on the salt pond. Another guest told us about the breakfast. It was the May long weekend and neither the pool or hot tub were open. Or maybe they were open but I couldn’t understand the man cleaning the pool! The pool is not heated and hot tub was cold. «The Atlantic House is in the perfect location with amazing views, which is why we chose to stay there. The hotel needs updating. It’s generally clean, bedspreads don’t match the old curtains still hanging, pleather couch and chair in room. The beds were comfortable though. Front desk doesn’t have any toiletries if you forget to bring anything. We stayed on the first floor and could hear everything that was happening above us. «The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room. »

«It was just perfect! I only have one complaint, I rented this particular room with a door opening outside on the porch to be able to smoke. They still wouldn't allow any smoking outside your door. Unfortunately it rained out entire stay with no where dry to smoke. I understand , but for us smokers it wasn't pleasant. But it is very clean and well maintained with a lot of nice amenities!»

«Dank and musty smelling room, beat carpet with stains, AC unit had caked on dirt in vent. Tried to air out and had ro spray freshener both days but I'd still stunk. Plus when we showed up on Saturday afternoon they were pouring concrete outside the room. Horrible room 112. No other rooms available. Will never go back. »

«The best thing about my room was the renovated tiny bathroom. It had nice marble and sink but the toilet seat was loose. And that was just the beginning of the poor state of things. The room was pretty clean but the door paint had been chipped and not repainted and the door handle was barely functional. I definitely used the deadbolt lock. The curtains on the window were a solid panel so you couldn't really open them. I slid them aside. Fun fact: the metal box the mattress sits on makes a cool ...

«This quaint hotel right on the water was a perfect destination for our anniversary trip. While the staff was just getting up to speed as the season was beginning, they still went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Don't expect a huge room, but that is part of the charm.»

«Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. I happened to meet the owner and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The hotel staff were so accomodating to all that we needed. The breakfast & snacks and beverages they offer complimentary are a game changer and make the stay that much more relaxing.
