«Nice place overall - clean and well kept. Owners are nice and friendly. The bad part is the sleep situation. For the room we had, there was a very bright security light from the neighbouring property up the hill, and the light shone onto the thin curtains of our room, and when the tree branches moved inbetween it created quite a light show in our room. «The property seems to be family owned and seemed to be run a bit slap dash. The pictures online have had some photo shopping and first impressions were a bit of a letdown. Staff were thin on the ground and some were inexperienced in hospitality. The room was clean and tidy, although we did look in a suite which looked really nice so I would suggest you book one of these if you go. Elected for the standard breakfast - cereal, fruit, toast with tea/coffee. A cooked breakfast was offered, for an additional charge. The Kentisbury Grange has beautiful setting the room was immaculate and had such lovely finishing touches from the towel to the decorative flower on the toilet roll. «The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well. «Traditional pub building in the middle of a village. The bar was full of local people having a good time but no noise made it through to the bedroom due to very thick walls.
