«I'm amazed at the ratings people have given this motel. The room was down a brick corridor and smelt mouldy. I'm glad I was only staying overnight. I'm not sure it was that reasonably priced but it was close to town.»

«Great location and comfortable rooms»

«Mackay is not the center of the world, and the city has clearly suffered after Covid with a lot of store closures etc. It also doesn’t have the big tourist streams as larger Australian cities have. Seeing the selection of hotels, we chose to stay at the Ocean International as it is situated beautifully at the beach with a wonderful garden. Given that the hotel is quite affordable, we did expected that the hotel would be somewhat in need of renovation and that we were not to expect a premium ...

«room was clean but the rest of the place needs work.. over looking the fact that they had put a single bed sheet sideways across a queen size bed on a mattress protecter that had blood on it and when we asked the staff if they could fix it they dropped off a queen size just in side the door so we could do it ourselves.»

«This is an older style motel but the rooms are clean, roomy and the bed is comfortable with crisp, white sheets and pillows. Nothing fancy with this motel but everything works and for an overnight stay with a small dog, it is ideal. The only unusual element is that the office is not open for check-in. You call a phone number and a woman talks you through where to find the key and your room number. We didn't need to talk directly to staff so no problem for us.»

«Meget bra motell. Freshed og ryddig over alt.

«A nice room to stay in for work»

«This place was great! The staff were very helpful»

«Very good value for the mony. good pool to enjoy after work. Extremely good service. Very nice and large rooms. Center of town. Improvements: Wifi is extremely expensive! Every standard hotel should provide free wifi in 2015, but generally Australia is a bit behind on all technology. mostly unhealthy food in break first restaurant.»

«Huge room located across the road in the secondary building! Lovely and clean and staff all wonderful. Thank you for a lovely stay!»
