«The boars head normally is a great place to stay. This last visit however, I had some issues. The front desk did their best to take care of everything. The staff was very gracious and very hospitable. The amenities in the room are fantastic and the linens on a scale of one to 10 I would give them an eight. »

«This hotel is fantastic! Gorgeous design, super friendly staff, perfect location, and great connection to the uva community. The rooms were well appointed with super soft robes and towels. The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! I’m excited to continue to visit this fantastic addition to the uva community!»

«The room was clean, tidy, and stocked. The overall ambiance was unique and inviting. Parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast was hot, with a variety of options. The coffee cups were too small, but going back for a refill is a simple solution. My only complaint is the lack of power outlets in the common areas. From outside to inside, the style and decor were pretty cool to make the stay more of an experience than simply a place to sleep. »

«We truely enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The ladies at the reception desk were very sweet and helpful. Our studio apartment was nice, spacious, and well equipped. Pool and exercise room was basic, clean, and well kept. Walking distance from city center. Breakfast however, was horrible. Very few healthy choices, egg powder products and dry sausage. No fruit or whole grain. Overall a nice hotel, well worth the price. However, you might want to plan breakfast at one of the cozy nearby cafes. »

«no door between the bathroom sink and the bedroom. the sheets were too big and kept on folding. the comforter / duvet was very thin and did not have a proper cover, just loose sheets over and under. Very uncomfortable, and cold. Certainly not first class bed linen as advertised. For breakfast, the eggs were sometimes mixed with meat and onions. I am allergic to onions and asked if it was possible to get gets without onions, but was told this was not possible.»

«I always have great experiences at Holiday *nn Express. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was super nice and accommodating. They got us a portable crib for my 3 month old which was really awesome. Break was great. No smoking allowed on the property. I will only stay at Holiday inn Express from now on.»

«The staff is very nice and helpful. The check in and out process was fast. The room was clean and roomy. The bathroom and shower is big. We didnt get a chance to have the continental breakfast. The parking was plentiful. And also pet friendly. I would definitely book this hotel again for my next stay in Charlottesville.»
