I had a smooth check in about 6pm. Once I settled into the room, and got back from dinner and showered, the shower handle wasn’t installed properly and moved suddenly turning the water scalding hot almost burning me.. we went to the front desk to changed the room because we’d be there for 3 nights.. the next room we were given, the adjoining room door didn’t lock, so they had their facilities person check it. You guessed it, we got another room. The next room, seemed fine except that the fire place didn’t work. Part of the reason why we booked this place. So our fourth and final room was fine except that we didn’t get the king bed we paid for, instead we got a very uncomfortable queen bed. We settled with this room because it was nearly 10pm and we were just tired. Not to mention the front desk person was very rude after the second room on. She made us feel like we were the problem but the rooms weren’t maintained properly. Also, no AC. The rooms are all heated.
Breakfast the next morning was different. I expected a continental breakfast but breakfast was as the adjoining hotel restaurant. You can use credit toward the a la cart menu or choose a set plate (1 egg, hash brown or cottage cheese, bacon or sausage, and bread). It served its purpose. The staff there were friendly.
On the last day, housekeeping was knocking on our door making sure we were going to check out, mind you we still had 30mins until checkout.
