«Gray's Court is very central in York - you will be in walking distance to everything. The hotel is in an old historic building and it has a lot of charm. Despite being an old building the rooms are up to date and give you everything you need. The breakfast is fantastic - you are served at your table and the taste of what you get is just delicious. Reception is always happy to talk to you, they are polite and give you very good feeling.»

«Such a great experience! Great, friendly hosts and great location. Clean room and the coffee station and cold waters were a nice bonus!»

«Personale var svært hjelpsomme og veldig hyggelige!!»

«Litt vanskelig å finne hotellet som lå litt vekk fra veien. Hotellet ligger like ved en pub/restaurant. Grei innsjekking, hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening og god service. Rommet var ok. God frokost. Grei parkering på eiendommen. »

«Sentralt. Inneholder alt du har behov for. Wifi er tregt, ellers flott opphold. »

«Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. »

«Location is excellent as are the staff and breakfast. Car park is handy. Our room (WDM) was good too.»

«Friendly owner, good communication. Comfortable and clean. Property is convenient for the minster and restaurants/bars. Good value for money in a pricey city»

«Lovely little guesthouse with a few rooms. Located relatively close to downtown York (we walked most of the time). Good breakfast, nice rooms. Recommended! »

«Stort rom med store senger hvilket gjør stedet perfekt hvis du er ute etter 3manns rom. Sentral beliggenhet. Ingen mulighet for frokost på overnattingstedet. Egentlig ikke ett hotel men mer ett B&B uten frokost»

«A lovely, well run hotel with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was superb and the room clean , comfortable with everything you need. Thank you the Sandburn Staff!»

«This is a little late, we stayed in January 2026: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Serenity in the City to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and I can wholeheartedly say it was a remarkable experience! The apartment we stayed in was stunning; it felt truly luxurious, with elegant decor and all the amenities we could have hoped for. Joe and her husband were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we made contact. Their warm hospitality significantly ...
