Hoteller i Besford

«Thanks for a wonderful stay Nigel! Your hospitality and local knowledge was second to none! We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge and reading all about how it was built. Such a beautiful setting with a big peaceful field all around us, the quiet and the comfort of a well constructed property! The little treats left for us on day one was very thoughtful and heartwarming. Thank you!!»

«Our luxury double room was spacious, clean and kept clean by staff each day. The only comment we would make was that the continental breakfast was not exciting and therefore somewhat disappointing for my wife who does not eat the cooked option.»

«Room was cold. Very dated. Mattress uncomfortable. Bathroom was freezing, dirty and rundown. Shower rubbish Service friendly. Breakfast lovely»

«Great location about 10 minutes drive into the City. Large, clean room with tea, coffee etc and fresh milk in fridge & bottled water too. Quirky room as part of an old pub so floors a little uneven and steepish staircase to get to rooms, but didn’t detract from the stay. Breakfast was delicious and staff all extremely friendly & helpful. As it’s a pub, you are obviously aware of noises from the pub during the day and evening but as soon as it closes, it’s very quiet.»

«Lovely old property . Nicely decorated. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately my bathroom needed refurbishing the bath was chipped and bath taps loose and parts missing. The window frame was rusty and needed painting. A shame because room decor was pleasant.»

«Overall good stay»

«On arrival I was told I’ve been downgraded to a standard room after paying for a premium room. Pretty rude staff wouldn’t change your alter and just saying I will just take it off the bill at the end. That wasn’t the answer what the answer I wanted was I’m sure your room isn’t available, but we can upgrade you to Different room, ordered two £40 steaks meals most of it was Fat with about eight chips overall we won’t be coming back really underrated for what you»

«Room was very clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. Excellent meals and friendly helpful staff, Nice views over the golf course though not being a golf player I can't comment on the quality of the course, but it looked well maintained with the help of robotic lawn mowers. Swimming pool was pleasant to use and at good temperature. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay at this Hotel.»

«Lovely spacious room with large en-suite. Very clean with water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely little extra were the complimentary chocolates and sweets. Breakfast was excellent, excellent options, I had the Avocado on toast with poached eggs which was delicious and coffee was also good quality. Would highly recommend this hotel. Was great value.»

«Staff could be more attentive around the spa area.»

«Sjarmerende hotell midt i byen og ved kanalen. Hyggelig personale og god frokost. Rommet var stort og fint medutsikt mot kanalen, men dessverre så det ut som renholderen hadde hatt det travelt. Det var gjenglemt papir og rask, samt mye støv i krokene og på ting i rommet. Stor edderkopp i vinduskarmen og masse edderkoppspinn på viduene som ikke var rengjort på lang tid. Sengen var veldig komfortabel.»

«the property was set in a grate location for all the local amenities and roads, the interior was full of rustic charm.»

«Our stay at this hotel with only 8 rooms was great! Lovely rooms and a very good breakfast served in the morning. Charming to live in 1000 year old house with a lot of history. And the owners gave great service! Will for sure stay again if we go back to Tewkesbury.»

«Overnight stay with my colleagues - gorgeous, traditional little place. Evening meal was exceptional (Roast Chicken) and the breakfast options were excellent. We had a slight issue at breakfast where noticed one of the cafetières didn’t seem to have any coffee mixed with the hot water - a bit unlucky when travelling with Italians! But aside from that would definitely book again without hesitation.»

«Good sized room and bathroom. No safe in the room and on the second morning, housekeeping didn't shut the door properly so anyone could have just wandered in. I'd booked room only so can't comment on breakfast. A pleasant stay, however and location is perfect.»

«Great location, nice atmosphere and service. Almost like home. Can definitely recommended.»
