"We arrived a bit early at the hotel. Upon approaching an empty reception, a lady came after a little while. Without any words being spoken she pointed to a sign saying that check-in starts at 3 pm. And she even moved the sign a little so I could see it better(?) Then after we talked, indeed check-in starts at 3 pm..nothing to be done. That is fair enough..but the welcome is not warm. I have also stayed in a few hotels in Germany this summer, and have been able to check in ahead of time even if a bit early. But this hotel doesn’t offer such a service..doesn’t bother to check even.
We of course got one of the old rooms, room itself is big enough, wifi works well. But the room is dated. Lamps with a lot of dust and holes in them. Bathroom basic but ok. The bed pillow is not good..small. No air-condition in the room..which is a problem during a summer visit. Also no air-condition in the breakfast area, they do though play “loud” music..if that is something u like. Breakfast spread is ok with some hot dishes. Unfortunately the juices was also hot.
Expensive hotel that doesn’t warrant the high price..at least not in summer months.
