Front Gate - "Mansfield" Cottage - Barrington. Situated in the Barrington River Valley - near Gloucester, Hosts Rick and Jill make this farmstay incredible. Arrive to a warm and cozy homestead with the wood fire burning in the winter time and the beds all made. Sleeping 8 people comfortably, a kitchen dining room, table tennis/games room, tv room (with fire) and the lounge room with a piano, there is ample space to spread out. Not to mention the undercover veranda with a massive bbq and a table to seat the whole family around for a great Aussie dinner. Walk down to the river to see if you can spot the ever elusive platypus, fresh eggs from the chook pen daily, wander the property and the gardens (take time to smell the roses) and take in the views of Barrington Tops National Park. A day trip to the National park during winter - you are likely to see snow. Great family weekend away at a reasonable price. Look out on their facebook page for updates and great specials.
Spot the platypus?.. well this is the spot to spot one. Down the back at the end of the property (Mansfield Cottage - Barrington)... you will discover the Barrington River. Summer fun tubing down these small rapids. Great family fun.

We loved our stay at Cosy Cabin. The cabin itself was all we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We loved spending our time out on the wrap around verandah feeding the birds and watching the wildlife. It was so peaceful and relaxing.
