Relaxing week

Great location, clean and comfortable house. Hot water was an issue (the reset button was in the upstairs unit and we were downstairs) so the house could use a separate hot water heater for the downstairs, but owners were very responsive to any issues.

good for a short stay

Good location. Not well cleaned-hair and stains on bedspread, sandy floor, vacuum cleaner, other items left in living area, trash under beds. spent first evening of vacation doing their laundry. Outdoor shower had not been cleaned and smelled Bedrooms and bath are tiny. No place to put suitcases or clothes in twin bedroom,. Closet had jumble of toys on floor and shelf but no clothes hangers. only queen room had a chest of drawers. Minimal furniture, minimal kitchenware. 7 people would be very crowded for a week. Can hear upstairs renters talking, walking, using bathroom. I texted with the property manager and response was within 24 hours. my cleaning fee was returned, but my request for suitcase stands was denied. I would stay for a weekend but not an entire week because I had to live out of my suitcase

Perfect for families

This home has been meticulously updated, charming and very functional for families. Close to the beach- we walked while my parents had the option of taking the tram. Close to the north end restaurants and a short walk to Poppy’s icecream. Quiet area!

Great location!

All in all, a nice property in close proximity to the beach. Recently stayed downstairs while my sister and family stayed upstairs. This gave us a unique perspective as we were able to compare the two. If given the option, I would definitely choose to stay upstairs as the property was much better equipped. In my opinion, the downstairs property was lacking in kitchen supplies. There was also only one mirror (located in the only bathroom) as well as no bath mat. I did appreciate that bath towels were included! We also had an issue with not having hot water twice which is resolved by a reset button in the upstairs property. Not sure how that would work if you don't know the individuals upstairs? The property also has a very musty smell that likely could be resolved with some Damprid. Despite these mostly easily resolved issues, we had a wonderful week with family!

Now we love barnegat light

Great location and easy to clean. Easy to remedy if we knew in advance- the house is not stocked for cooking, not even salt and pepper or oil. And would be nice to bring camp chairs for the wonderful front porch.

Simple and perfect

The location is spectacular if you like to walk to restaurants and shops. The walk to the beach is long but easy-not bad for Barnegat Light. We stayed in the bottom floor and it fit our needs perfectly, and spent a lot of time out on the front porch. It’s simple but clean and in good condition. Comfortable bed! Wi fi was iffy, but the owners were very responsive with any questions we had.

Perfect Weekend getaway!

This was a great week/weekend getaway location. The only issue was there was very little insulation between the top and bottom floors so you can hear all of the foot traffic from above. other than that, i would rent again (probably the top unit though)

Good house, great location

We enjoyed our first stay on Long Beach Island. We found the property owner to be highly responsive when we had difficulty opening the door at check-in and when we found the property had not been professionally cleaned, as stated in the contract. The neighborhood was ideal for our family and the beach was lovely. We will definitely be staying on LBI again, and would consider this home again when staying in Barnegat Light.

Great Duplex

We stayed on the first floor unit and had a great time. The place was very clean an up to date. All the appliances worked well. The location was great. The walk to the beach is long but there is a tram that can bring you if needed. Walking distance to the businesses in Barnegat Light and the Lighthouse. I highly recommend. The owner was easy to contact the one time we got locked out and was able to easily remedy the situation.

Spacious, updated ocean side rental!

We rented both the upstairs and downstairs of this property, which was perfect to give us enough space and separation for our group! The house was clean, spacious, and updated. We loved how easy it was to walk to the restaurants and shops on Broadway, as well as get onto the beach. Owners were very flexible and quick to respond throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

Wedding Weekend

I had rented both levels of the property for my wedding weekend. My fiancé had the upstairs property and I had the downstairs property with my family. It was in a great location for pictures and the inside of the house was perfect for getting ready. The house was spotless and came equipped with all the listed amenities. The pictures don’t even come close to doing it justice!

Cozy weekend at the North End

We stayed in the downstairs unit at this property. It is less than half a block from the beach at the North end of the island, about 10 blocks from the lighthouse. The beach is wide up here, so be prepared for that. There's some decent food options, as well as a new mini-golf location that was freaking awesome. This is definitely a sleepier section of the island though, not like Ship Bottom or Beach Haven. The interior has a fresh, modern look as it seems like it was recently renovated. The kitchen area is a big plus with plenty of counter space and a cool table that does a nice job of dividing the kitchen and living area while still keeping the room very spacious and open. The unit has a Nest to control heat, AC, etc making it easy to stay comfortable regardless of weather conditions. The rooms are sparsely decorated, but the minimalist approach is appreciated considering the tacky, overly-decorated beach themed homes that you usually find at shore towns. Someone else was staying in the upstairs unit while we were there and we just barely heard some footsteps, seemed like it was pretty well sound-proofed, Everything was clean when we arrived. No sand in the bedrooms, or even in the front room. The only blemish on our weekend, and it was a very small one, is that some of the kitchen ware seemed like it hadn't been cleaned very well. But it was easy enough to give the few things we used a quick rinse before cooking our meals. Communication with the property owner, Lori, was quick and easy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to stay here again if we decide on doing the north end of the island again!

Great location, good value, great place to just relax

We have nothing but good things to say about this place and the host Lori. Great location on 9th with direct beach access. Nicely appointed with useful information on the immediate area provided. If you are looking for a wild night life, Barnegat Light is not the place. If you are looking for a relaxed, friendly, low key place with very good restaurants within biking distance, this it it. We had a great time!

Very nice house near the beach in Barnegat Light. Everything was new and worked well. One regret : not enough glasses (especially wine glasses) and not enough cutlery either !! But a great stay !

Cozy family weekend

This was our second time staying in this house. It’s nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and we love the big family room and connecting kitchen area. Was the perfect place to hang out with the family. The house had everything we needdled for the weekend. Only suggestion would be to add a can opener to the drawer of kitchen gadgets. Thanks for another great stay!
