Reception can only answer the phone if they are not dealing with guests or not on the main phone so apologies that you couldn't get an answer we do have to go to other departments in the hotel as well which takes us away from the desk but we are always as quick as possible.I am sorry that you didn't have any toiletries this was a complete oversight by house keeping and hopefully rectified for you upon asking. We are not able to have a lift, the building is listed/historic it wouldn't be allowed however if we are told of mobility issues beforehand we are able to allocate suitable rooms.I do hope you will stay again but please mention your mobility issues so that we are aware.Kind regards

Hello Jay,The building is historic, incredibly old its creaks add to the character some say.The suites are considerably larger and have sofas and seating areas. There should of been an Iron and ironing board and a working soap dispenser, had we known at the time all this could of been rectified straight away.

Hello Brian,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review following you recent stay. You had booked a Classic room which is not in the main house, these rooms though perfectly clean have not yet been refurbished like the Main House but do have a lift access. As a gesture of goodwill we upgraded you FOC to a Deluxe room in the Main House as we thought it would be better for you, we wasn't aware of any mobility issues so I can only apologise. Our restaurant is closed on a Sunday evenings for now as Sundays are typically much quieter and the chefs and kitchen staff get an a well deserved evening off, this will be changing though as the hotel is getting busier.I do hope you understand and I am sorry if the complimentary upgrade and restaurant closure impacted badly on your stay.I do hope you will return in the near future.
