Howards Haven

Enjoy this beautiful golf course view villa. Just steps away from the beach access #13 and steps away from the prestigious Bald Head Island Club. Comes equipped with two 4 passenger golf carts.

This is a 3 bedroom 21/2 bathroom villa with 1 king, 1 queen and 2 twins beds in the loft area.
A BHI GUEST club membership is available for separate purchase. The guest club membership includes all BHI club amenities, including golf, pools, tennis, fitness center and dining.

TV's available in every room.

Chairs and table available on the deck where you can observe the golfers finishing up their rounds on the 18th green.

We loved our stay at Howards Haven. It was nice that they have beach chairs and sand toys so that we didn't have to pack those. It was so helpful to have 2 golf carts. Our kids loved getting to alligators daily in the water by the house. But best of all was location. We went to the BHI club everyday and being so close to the club was amazing! Also, the kitchen was very well stocked.

Our family loves the Villas on BHI, and we definitely enjoyed our say at Howards Haven. The Villa had exceptional renovations and a great panoramic view of the canals, 18th hole, and sunset in the evening. We had a great time walking to the pool and ocean. We need to stay 2 weeks next time.

Extremely Impressed with this Villa!

This villa is gorgeous; the pictures don't do it justice. It was spotlessly clean, light and bright. The decor is charming and the panoramic view of the golf course and club house are absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect, close to everything and the 2 golf carts are a plus. I was there for my best friend's son's wedding and there was a problem with the Mother of the Groom's golf cart from another rental - the extra golf cart saved the day for them and they are so grateful. (Please note that I've known the family for over 30 years and knew they would take excellent care of the borrowed golf cart.). I had some questions and the owner responded quickly, and I love the picture of the owner's beautiful family in the dining area - it's a nice personal touch and makes a connection.It was my first time visiting BHI and this villa really made my trip wonderful. It's a truly special place and I highly recommend staying at Howard's Haven!

Best vacation

This Villa is perfect for a family. We enjoyed our stay so much. The location is excellent, especially being walking distance to the BHI club. The hostess took such good care of us. We had a small issue with a golf cart, and she went out of her way to resolve it in no time. I highly recommend this villa and will be renting it again!

Beautiful location, needs better upkeep

We had the pleasure of staying at this house while attending the wedding of a dear friend. As expected, it’s a wonderful location on a beautiful island and was perfect for our weekend stay. You can walk to the beach or country club! The house is lovely and was clean on the surface when we arrived. Everything was in order as expected. However, the longer we were there we couldn’t help but notice the lack of upkeep. The house had cobwebs and spider webs in nearly every corner (inside and outside) - along with many actual spiders. Overall it didn’t take away from the amazing memories we made, but it felt like the home really needed some TLC from its owners. Our best guess is that we were one of the first rental groups of the summer season. I would expect there to be time to do a deep clean before the high rental season begins for the price. Also, one of the golf carts was struggling to keep up with the newer one in the garage despite always being charged. Not a big problem, but it may be in need of maintenance or replacement. We did get to see the alligator behind the house, and it really made our trip!

Wedding weekend fun!

Perfect cottage for a small group. Location is beautiful & centrally located. The house was clean & well-appointed. Aimee was a great host…responsive & easy to work with. We had some scheduling logistics to deal with and Aimee was very accommodating. We highly recommend the property & hope to visit again.

Week at Bald Head

property is well maintained and well decorated. There was a really loud group next door that stayed the whole week with music, etc, but you can't control that. The BHIsland club was a pain to deal with. We thought the old pool was usable as a lap lane and they screamed at us for using it. Said we had to live there. My two daughters are competitive swimming so that was a bummer. Won't use that club will go to Shoals again.

Howard's Haven

Mr. Howard was tremendous to work with and made everything so easy. Great property with a beautiful view of #18 on the golf course. Had an absolutely wonderful time. Will certainly recommend this unit to anyone visiting Bald Head.

Great Stay

We recently wrapped up our 7th Annual family vacation to BHI, and we really enjoyed staying at Howard's Haven. The location was possibly the best we have had so far. As a parents of (3) little ones, the walkability (or super quick golf cart ride) to multiple beach accesses and the BHI club can't be beat...and sunset view is much better in person than represented in some of the photos. Pleasantly surprised. Our kids loved seeing the gator swim by in the lagoon each afternoon - safely from the deck. The only downsides were the washer/dryer being located in the bottom floor garage, and the living space being open to the upstairs loft bedroom. Made for late nights with little kids/early nights for mom and dad. Perfect sized house for a family of 4-5. The Tews

Nice condo overall

Very clean and laid out well for 2 bedrooms to have privacy. Kitchen is very very small and equipped as such--could use some basic pans that are not scratched, and a pasta pot. Only view of the ocean is from top-floor lookout with 2 chairs (you can bring chairs upstairs if needed). Neighborhood can get a little noisy if you leave windows open to hear the ocean since you cannot see it from bedroom floor. Watching golfers is fun and relaxing and wildlife was abundant. Overall, since family was congregating at a larger house with a kitchen, this was fine for our purposes but if we were just the nuclear family, would need a little larger kitchen for meal prep.

Bright, peaceful and comfortable villa

We came for Thanksgiving, to get away from the city, and from the moment we walked inside, we felt warmth and coziness. It was so peaceful to look out over the lagoon and golf course, and walk to the beach when we wanted. The villa has everything you need. Towels, linens, coffee filters, salt and pepper. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and it was sad to leave that bright, cheerful place.

Highly recommend

John is a super host! Excellent communication, responds quickly to questions, easy check in . The views & location are fabulous. Unit is extremely clean with fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms have hairdryers, shampoo and conditioner. Bikes are easy to ride, beach chairs , coolers, etc available. You will definitely enjoy your stay!

Lovely villa with a view

We are 2 middle aged couples on the island for a weekend get-away. The Villa is clean and comfortable. The beach access is right across the street. The view outside is the 18 green and the club house. Just what we needed.
