«We definitely enjoyed our stay at Lake Martin and the house was beautiful! We liked having the boat slip as we rented a pontoon boat to go out on the lake during our stay. The house was very nice and clean, and had plenty of toilet paper and trash bags which we appreciated! «Four couples traveled to Auburn to play at Grand National. The property suited all our needs. It was located about 15 minutes from the trail but in a great location for enjoying the local flair for a college town. One minor issue occurred during our stay and the owner addressed it immediately. Having the 4 bedrooms/4 1/2 baths was great. Although the townhome is in a very crowded area, it was extremely quiet. «If you have a larger group visiting Auburn, whether for a football weekend, graduation, parents weekend etc. This is a fabulous place to stay. It is close enough to campus that you can walk (about a mile) but not so close that it is noisy. The house is new. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, and the porches and patios are great. «This is the best property we have ever rented in the Columbus, GA area. Our son is in the army so we have rented several. In fact it is one of the top we have ever rented in any location. The house is so unique and the setting is gorgeous. The sound of the waterfall that is in the backyard is just incredible. Also the host is super responsive. We highly recommend this property!»

«This home is beautiful and inviting. Eight adults fit easily with plenty of room to spare. Outdoor space is amazing. Kayaks were available for use. No hand towels or kitchen towels as mentioned in a previous review. Minor repairs needed which were mentioned to the home owner, but nothing that interfered with the enjoyment of our stay.»

Better directions on how to enter the place (backside) would have been helpful especially when you arrive late at night and the GPS takes you to the front of the building and outside numbers were not very visible. «We loved our stay at Poplar Point. It’s located in a gated community with a golf course and restaurant, Copper’s that we went to one night. The villa/townhouse has a wonderful view of the lake that we took full advantage of for morning coffee and later cocktails So peaceful! I didn’t want to leave! We stayed here the weekend we moved our daughter out of her dorm at AU. It’s about a 40 minute drive to Auburn. The beds are comfy and the kitchen has what you need for a weekend stay.
