«The property needs some "Finishing touches" to be an excellent one. A headboard on the master bed, adult size life preservers if you are going to have kayaks and paddle boards for use on Lake Superior, a kitchen faucet that doesn't leak all over the countertop and a water filtration system that can remove tannins. The water is gross! »

«This property was ideal to accommodate our large group of friends and children for a reunion of MTU classmates. The house is HUGE so no one felt crowed. The basement had lots of fun games to keep our teenage children occupied. Some of the furniture has definitely seen better days, but everything was very clean. It was easy walking distance to both downtown Hancock and Houghton. I would definitely request to stay again if staying in the area with a large group.»

«Very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, but close to town. If we'd had more time, we could have played some backyard games. Everything we needed was there. We really enjoyed spending time on the roomy deck (we lucked out with perfect weather). Living room and eating area had lots of room to gather. Everyone said they'd stay there again.»

«Thank you for this beautiful location in the UP. Love the little extras like the microwave popcorn and coffee. Beds were comfy and the view of the lake and park were amazing. While we did not spend much time inside we would stay again while visiting MTU. »

«This is a great guest house with two nice bedrooms and an open plan kitchen/dining/living room. It is very convenient to Houghton and the Keweenaw and had absolutely everything needed for a very nice stay.»

«Very clean, nice, and comfortable home. Its very convenient if you plan on riding the local trails. Since its an older house the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are quite narrow and steep, but not bad at all, just something to keep in mind. It is more of a guest house, but Threse and Mike were so kind and welcoming. We appreciated the time to chat with them to learn the history of the homes and see their beautiful garden. We would definitely come back again. »
