«My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin was was clean, neat and well appointed. Communication with the host was easy. We hiked, biked and kayaked. The campfires were nice as was Dave’s Falls a short distance away. I recommend the cabin for any couple with or without small children looking for seclusion.»

«The cabin was very cute and cozy. Big bonus was the sauna and hot tub! Fun to disconnect for a weekend and put the phones down.»

«We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and very well furnished. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Great communication with the host. We enjoyed the location as it was countyside but close to amenities in town. However, we were not able to go outside due to the spongy moth infestation. The water was fine to drink but the smell from using the water, especially in the bathroom, was overwhelming.»

«The Archer Log Cabin was sweet and comfortable with a full kitchen, bath and laundry. It even had a little desk in the laundry room. The bed was comfortable . We only used one of the two bedrooms. The surrounding woods were peaceful. We enjoyed hiking on trails in the state park and hope to get back sometime in the winter to cross country ski. We appreciated the coffee . We will be back. It was a quiet place to rest and refresh.»

«The deck needs some attention, the fireplace was so great. We made use of the kayak and paddle boat. Love the lake. My wife and I walked down to it at night and sat on the bench for a while.»

«The retreat was exactly as pictured and as described. It was incredibly cleaned and stocked with any and everything that we needed, that we may have forgotten, including a first aid kit. The extra surprise was the plunger in the bathroom, which gave us a great laugh. Loved it and would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was relaxing and peaceful and that’s exactly what we needed.»

«We booked this home for a short Anniversary getaway near where some family and friends are. We love the upnorth relaxed feel. Everything was as stated on the booking website. Clean, beautiful, cozy place. Loved the back deck area and river view. Everything was very nice and check in and out was super easy. Would love to stay here again sometime. «The property is on Wheeler Lake, which is a great lake for fishing and watersports. There's a sandy public beach nearby that you can visit for $5 per person, and the boat launch is fairly close. Lakewood is five minutes away. The cottage is older, but has been nicely remodeled with two newer bathrooms, a modern kitchen and numerous other updates. «Absolutely fantastic house! Incredibly clean, great communication with the owners, and well stocked home with games, puzzles, outside toys / kayaks, etc. The lake is smaller which leads to a bit more moss / plant growth (vs sandy bottom) but kids had a great time out on the swimming platform after taking out kayaks. The hot tub was drained and refilled right before our arrival (which was appreciated) and there was plenty of firewood for the pit (we also brought starters just in case). The ...

«The last time we stayed here with some friends in the winter and enjoyed this wonderful home so we decided to come back in the summer. We used this as our respite from riding the ATV trails. It was great to unload our ATVs here and just ride from the house. We wish that we had more time to enjoy all the amenities of the outdoors around the home but sadly we didn't have time.
