Glass House with Private River & 360° Views

Our house is situated in a unique part of Arnarstapi, a spot where the Snæfellsjökull Glacier, the North Atlantic Ocean, and Stapafell Mountain can all be seen from the living room at the same time. The two bedrooms also offer incredible views, but in addition, the bedroom windows face north, making them a perfect spot to see the Northern Lights.
A private river runs through the backyard with little bridges that allow you to cross if exploring the property.

The Glass House is located at the edge of Arnarsapi, a beautiful fishing village in the magical Snæfellsnes peninsula. The house is about two and a half hours drive from Reykjavík, and about three hours from Keflavík International Airport.

This house is 95 square meters (1,000 sq ft) and features two bedrooms, an additional sleeping loft, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with a large smart TV, and a dining table.
Each bedroom has a queen bed, and the loft is equipped with a double bed.

The aurora borealis - northern lights- are visible (whenever they’re out) from both bedroom windows, the loft window, and all common areas.

The house has a 270-degree deck with garden chairs.
We highly recommend stargazing at night from the deck. Let your eyes adjust for a few minutes, and you’ll discover a vast night sky above you with many stars and the Milky Way Arm above the House.

There is one full bathroom with a shower. The water is heated electrically. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided.
A hairdryer is also available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, a coffee machine for ground coffee (provided), an oven, and an induction cooktop.

The living/dining room is large and features oversized windows to the east and west, providing magnificent views. The room features a dining table with chairs, three couches, and a coffee table.
Large smart TV with options to log into your streaming accounts.

Our home is heated by electricity. As a result, the hot water has NO sulfur scent, which is a bonus here in Iceland.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the house and all the described amenities. Linens and towels are provided. All the necessary equipment is located in the house.
Guests will have the house all to themselves, but we will be available to assist with any questions or requests you may have.
