«Staff were friendly and helpful from checking in to food services. Room was a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with choices on a pre ordered menu which meant service was perfect. Views of mountains from some rooms and also from outside sitting area. «The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular ...
