It was ok. The bathroom and WC was in different rooms. No sink in WC. Size of double room was very small. Bed wasnt good at all.

The online photos were misleading. We booked a double room but got a small, basement room not shown on the website. The room needed maintenance, with chipped flooring and loose skirting boards. The walls were poorly painted. When you used the shower it leaked all over the floor meaning we had to use a lot of towels. It came with a short shower curtain rather than a screen, which is just unhygienic. The bed was comfortable but dipped in the middle, making it hard to sleep on one side. It was also inconveniently placed against the window. They don’t clean the rooms daily, you have to request this through the app, which appeared as ‘not an option’ for our hotel. It felt a bit awkward having to ask for this at the desk so we didn’t request it during the stay. The hotel's common areas like the lounge, workspace, and garden were nice, but the rooms didn't meet the same standard. Other rooms might be better. Overall the location is really good, but I’d say this is the lowest standard I would accept from a hotel.

Hotel was very close to the main museums in Amsterdam and still close enough to walk to the central parts of the city. The room was clean and comfortable and front desk very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

There were two good things about this hotel - its position in being close to good shopping and the museums, and the staff on the front desk. Julianna on reception was supremely helpful, full of local information and happy to explain how to use local transport etc. The room itself was pretty awful. Below ground floor level with one small window looking at a scruffy brick wall and a pipe from an extractor fan sending fish smells into the room. The room was dark, noisy from other guests, looked in dire need of some maintenance (hooks hanging off walls, soap/shampoo dispenser falling off the wall, handle on the toilet brush broken off, scuff marks all over the walls, TV not working, shower bracket not fitted to wall properly, holes filled in badly etc etc). I know its hard to clean rooms that are poorly maintained but the big hair sitting on the bath towel was not the welcome I wanted. The hotel didn't stock any alcohol, soft drinks and or ice despite having a bar. They have free coffee and tea (as long as its Earl Grey or a couple of herbal ones). I was hugely disappointed in this hotel, wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't stay here again.

Location is good. Room was pretty bad. Comedically small. Could barely move once the suitcase was open. Clean and fine, but everything in it very basic. Expected better given price and previous experience with Sonder. The picture is different (and far more modern) from the actual room.

My only suggestion would be to ask for a room above ground. The lower (basement rooms) are very cold in the spring. Otherwise, this was a fantastic experience. The rooms are spacious and well thought out. Toilet and shower are separate, shower room has heated floors.

We booked the twin single room for 3 nights. The room was fine for a short stay and if you travelled light (two pack backs) otherwise you will struggle for space. Overall, would recommend. Location is great, hotel is clean and staff were friendly.

The hotel is ok, we had a 3-nights long stay. Our room was very small for a double bed but with all the needed comfort (private bathroom, safe, courtesy set) and daily cleaning is at extra expense. The worst was that our room had a terrible smell of sewer everyday when we came back before dinner and then disappeared after dinner… They provide a free luggage drop off that is very useful. Common rooms are nice and clean. Location is perfect for walking tours (city center is at 20-30 min walking). Overall stay was ok but a little expensive with respect to the quality.

Excellent customer service, complimentary quality coffee in lobby jowever our deluxe room on top floor had obvious water damage (peeling paint) and sink other end of room from toilet which was very inconvenient. Only one very small mirror and most importantly elevator not working needing to be re-set numerous times making leaving and returning throughout trip challenging.

Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer gebucht, was ich bekam glich mehr einer Abstellkammer. Das Zimmer zwar einigermaßen sauber, aber an allen Ecken renovierunsbedürftig. Da das Schloss meiner Tür nicht funktionierte, wechselte ich nach einer Nacht das Zimmer. Dieses war zwar vom renovierungszustand besser, jedoch befand sich auf der Schwelle zum Bad jede Menge Baustaub und auch auf dem Föhn sammelte sich Staub. Leider konnte man in dem Dachzimmer Werder die Klimaanlage einschalten, noch das Fenster öffnen, sodass es, obwohl es er Mitte April war, unangenehm warm wurde. Allgemein für den Preis von über 400€ für 3 Nächte enttäuschen und nicht das, was ich sonst bisher von sonder gewohnt war

The staff at Sonder house are SO kind and HELPFUL. whether they are making you a complimentary coffee , researching the nearest place I can buy something specific , giving directions , and even putting me to bed and looking after me after a bad experience. The location is so convenient. Beds are comfy and shower wonderful.. all clean, quiet and homely. Nice for work or leisure. I can't thank the desk girls enough !

Room is very small, no refrigerator. No cleaning service. You need to pay extra for the service rust in the bathroom. check in time 4:00 if you want to get earlier $10 for each hour whatever you want stuff is friendly and creamer in the room I don't think so ever was using this room I don't think so it's ever cleaned before somebody will get into the room the coffee maker was so dirty. Need to wash yourself and stay on your knee to take a shower. Location is good.

Clean room & linen. Shower room old, tatty, smelly but as cleaned as well as possible by staff. Basin tap leaked. Shower had to be used at low flow otherwise it ran into dry area. Damage to bottom of door into main room and grouting at bottom of tiles & wall covering due to persistent flooding. Whilst accepting the outside weather was cold, our room remained unacceptably cold despite asking reception for help in providing more heat on three occasions. We got an additional duvet which was helpful but not adequate The reception, lounge areas were beautiful and warm. The staff was professional and friendly.

If you are looking for a simple hotel stay while you spend majority of your time exploring the city, this is the perfect one! It is cozy and extremely walkable to main scenes of the city. My partner and I enjoyed 5 nights here 👍

The Sonder is located in the Museum Quarter, 8 minutes walk from Leidse Plein and about 25 minutes from de Dam and the Canal Ring. The rooms are quite small but functional and clean. Nespresso coffee maker with coffee pods and tea in the room. There is paid parking in front of the hotel at E6.50 per hour. Parking is free from midnight until 9 am. There is a nice lounge with fireplace and a coffee bar. Hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a great stay!

Kat was great, she greeted me and made outstanding coffee on several days of my stay. Her and Anka both gave great advice on places to eat, castles and things to see, as well as how to mail intl post cards. Excellent stay and great staff!

The hotel has a strange check in policy, where you need to complete the check in beforehand and cannot simply walk into the lobby. An access code will be provided which you will need to use in order to get into the lobby itself, they will not help you if they see you struggle with the code unless you use the ring camera and wait. There is no housekeeping unless you pay a 30 euro fee, so keep clean unless you want to pay. The only large trashcan is in the hotek entrance, so to throw food items away you must go downstairs. Staff was generally friendly, but not as courteous as in other hotels I've been to, felt more casual and the hotel gave more of a "help yourself" vibe. My room was alright, bed was very comfortable, view was nice, room wasn't very large though. The bathroom was split in two, so you had to walk around the room from the toilet to the sink, which was strange but not awful considering it's an old building. They held my bags for a few hours after check out since my train left 5 hours after check out, which was very helpful. I do not recommend this hotel for people with moving disabilities, the entrance does not have a ramp.

Die Unterkunft hat einen modernen und stilvoll eingerichteten Empfang. Der Zugang ist über einen persönlichen Code jederzeit möglich. Alternativ kann auch geklingelt werden. Die Zimmer sind entsprechend eines Stadthotels sehr klein. Ärgerlich ist, dass das Hotel offenbar mit standardisierten Bildern arbeitet, im Internet, wie auch in der eigenen App. Die Bilder der Allgemeinbereiche und Zimmer entspricht daher nicht dem expliziten Hotel. An manchen Stellen war die Einrichtung schon etwas in die Tage gekommen und die Steuerung der Lüftung war nicht wirklich nachvollziehbar. Die Zimmer waren teilweise sehr hellhörig.
