«The pub was lovely and served great food and drink options. The rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit fairly basic and in need of modernisation, but certainly no complaints given the room rate. The pub offers great value for money and is dog friendly. We used it as a stop of travelling south from Scotland and we will likely return. »

«The pub was great, cosy and food was fantastic as well as being reasonably priced. The staff are polite and very welcoming and provided lots of help throughout our stay. The room was very clean and tidy and comfortable. We will definitely be staying again and recommend this hotel to anyone. We are not dog owners but its extremely dog friendly.»

«It was a very nice place to stay, excellent food, lively bar and clean and comfortable room. There was no welcome gift as promised by Hotels.com and there was a bit of a mix up in that although I had already paid the hotel insisted I pay again, the £300 was refunded during my stay as it was the hotels mistake.»

«This was a fantastic find for an overnight stay on our way to Glasgow, wish we could have stayed longer and explored the lake and surrounding areas. The bar and restaurant were very good and the couple who were managing the pub at the time of our stay were excellent hosts. There is plenty of parking and this very old pub has very modern rooms. Would defiantly recommend and stay again. »

«Probably the best place I’ve stayed in a long time. The food at the pub is first class and home cooked, non of the usual pub clone food. The room was immaculate and very comfortable, bed was great and the shower was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this place, I’ll be back. »

Det verste hotellet jeg noen gang har opplevd
"Dette hotellet var utrolig skittent. Det første rom jeg fikk var liten og mørk. De tre vinduene kunne ikke åpnes og det var ingen ventilasjon. Dusjhenget hadde mygg og sopp på den. Jeg fikk et nytt rom - like skittent. Teppe på golvet var møkkete. Føttene mine klistret seg til det klissete baderomsgolvet. Kaldtvannskranen var ødelagt. Jeg fikk et tredje rom - større og med et finere bad. Men dusjen lekket på golvet. Høyt musikk fra en fest i første etasje gjorde det vanskelig å sove. "
