Pub was great, food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room, Senna Cove was very comfortable, shower fantastic and bed really comfy. The photo on the website is possibly a wee bit out of date. Pub really welcomes dogs, ours was very well catered for and loved his sausages for breakfast. Pub would benefit from having a bin for used poo bags. There are none around. Overall a great experience and we would definitely return

We had a wonderful stay at the Joiners Arms, the staff were so accommodating and the whole place has a general feeling of warmth and cosiness. Our dog stayed as well and the additional welcome pack for the dog was a lovely touch, he devoured the camomile treats which was very much needed due to his excitement staying there. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff.

I have emailed the Joiners Arms with our feedback and have had no response. The check-in experience was very stressful and the room was small and needed some TLC - see photos. We were uncomfortable, didn't sleep well and had to pay an unexpected deposit of £50 to "open a tab" which was then never used and took 5 days to be refunded. The room could be improved greatly with a bit of a refurb, some new lighting and some storage/shelves to put belongings, however it does have luxury touches such as a Nespresso machine. It may have been 5 star when it was first finished but is certainly not now. We had a good experience in the pub at both breakfast and dinner - food and service were both good, however overall we were disappointed with our stay.

Great service and food especially the breakfast, only complaint was no hot water in room for hours , room was freezing cold when we came back from dinner we mention it and they said thet would check the boiler. Then the heat came on full blast late at night and was very hot. Wish we could have controlled water and radiator temperature. TV was constantly out of signal so couldn’t watch anything. This didnt spoil our stay but was a little annoying. There was also music and noise till 11pm but thats to be expected when it's a room above a bar. Staff were really pleasant and helpful.

Really enjoyed our time here, the room was very nice and cosy, catering is really good with breakfast included and the staff are helpful. In winter it may be difficult tomget around if you dont drive though as public transport is extremely limited and there isnt too much in the area.

The food and service at the Joiners was excellent. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The accommodation was warm and very clean. The lack of parking was not good and having to park further up the road was a pain especially with suitcases to unload and not good for a woman on her own in the dark. We found our room very dark especially if trying to apply make up and dry my hair. More lighting was needed above mirrors. Also there were no drawers to put clothes in so we had to leave them in our suitcases and no surface in the bathroom for toiletries. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay but would choose another room next time.

Lovely place, staff nice and friendly. Evening meal not the greatest however restaurant was very busy so maybe it was my palette. Thanks to staff for fitting us in at last minute. Would def recommend staying at the Joiners. Lovely nearby coast and easy free parking at hotel. Thank you.

the stay was at best average, we had been recommended by friends, who had stayed there several times. we were kept up all night by a dog barking in a adjacent room, dogs were also in the dining area the food was only average, despite it being advertised as a gastropub

Stayed Sunday/Monday - excellent welcome and room. Had an evening meal and breakfast. The food choice is very good and the quality of the food served was excellent. The staff are really friendly and professional and could not do enough to help you. In terms of access to some of Northumberland's best coastline you cannot have a better location. Everything and more than we hoped for.

Initially great but mouldy blind and no hot water.
This is advertised as 5 star rooms, we had no hot water and the bathroom blind was mouldy. This really let the place down. Check out felt rushed but it wasn't the fault of the waiter trying to deal with breakfast for guests and guests checking out. We did complain about the water to the nighttime manager who said she will boost the boiler, but this didn't work. Therefore we couldn't fully utilise the expensive room to its full potential. We feel we have wasted money here.

Perfect and well worth a visit. All staff are very helpful and will accommodate as much as possible. I would recommend this place to anyone. Perfect for us to relax in and she said YES.

A nice stay with a plush room but not 5*
A pleasant stay in a very nice room, but the service and various aspects of the stay did not meet the 5* quality advertised. While the staff made an effort to deliver good service, they appeared understaffed which impacted service quality. While the room and breakfast were very nice, they were not 5* quality
