Very nice place to stay - close to town but not right in the thick of it. We were able to walk through the botanical gardens to town and avoid paying costly parking fees. Our apt. did not have a hair dryer and the office had closed already, but they responded by phone right away and brought me one - all of the staff are very nice and hospitable.

Recommend this hotel 100%
We stayed here for two nights. We took advantage of the hot tub, the view, and the laundry. From here we went river rafting on day, one and zip lining on day two before traveling on the ring road. My daughter was able to walk to town to grab some ice cream without having to take the car and it’s a very convenient location.

Struttura molto bella e appartamento spazioso, con principali comfort. La gestione è affidata ad una signora molto disponibile e gentile (causa un problema di salute, ci ha permesso il check-in diverse ore in anticipo, gratuitamente). Lo consiglio vivamente.

Good place to stop over during the ring road as other sites are not to far away. If i did it again I would start here a few nights and drive out to sights instead of along the way as you get better value staying in akureyri.

After the drive from Reykjavik to Akureyri, it was nice to have a place to relax. The unit had a kitchenette with microwave, stove top and utensils. Allowed us to hit the local store to make a dinner. Great shower and pressure. Bed comfortable.

This was the best place we stayed in Iceland. By day 6, we had been traveling long hours to explore as much as possible. The private hot tub was much needed and appreciated! The whole apartment was nice!

Excellent emplacement, confortable
Studio bien situé et bien agencé. On se retrouve à 6 min du centre d’Akureyri, 6 min du Forest Lagoon. Cependant, les murs sont en carton et on entend les voisins. Les bouchons d’oreilles sont indispensables. Checkin - checkout extrêmement simples!

Schönes Apartment
Schönes Apartment mit Küche und Essbereich. Es war ein wenig ringhörig. Check-in Infos via E-Mail erhalten. Leider funktionierte das W-Lan in unserem Apartment nicht (nur in der nähe der Reception). Zu Fuss ca. 15 Minuten ins Zentrum mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants.

There is in suit private hot tub, good cleanness and above average appliances, the only hotel that equips washing machine, shared though. check in and out was easy, although no staff in the evening the room is ready with key in the room.

Nice hot tub but not good drains
This hotel had a nice hot tub that is filled and emptied after each guest stay. The hot tub temperature is at approximately 102 degrees (the hottest we found in Iceland). The location was great if you have a car. It was near the botanic gardens. The room was large and spacious. It looks recently renovated. Our biggest complaint was that the drains in the bathroom were backed up in both the sink and the shower. We did not notice until 2000 when the front office was closed. They should regularly check the drains. We had to shower with ankle high back up, which was disgusting. I'm not sure how the cleaning staff cleaned the bathroom without noticing.

A town house unit among many in the hotel
We arrived 15 minutes before 5 pm (the closing time of the office) and was told by the receptionist instruction for check-in was emailed to me (which I wouldn't be able to check until after check-in). The area is close to downtown, but the complex doesn't look like a hotel.The unit is spacious and has good view from the balcony. It came with some cooking facilities which we didn't use at all. The place was clean and OK enough for a one night stop, but not particularly interesting.

Für 8 Nächte war ich als Alleinreisende in der Anlage. Ich habe ein Apartment gebucht und hatte auch einen Hot Tub. Den habe ich oft und gern benutzt. Es war schön mit der Aussicht über den Fjord direkt vom Balkon / Pool aus - und auch vom Esstisch. Er war 39°C warm. Schade, dass man es nicht regulieren konnte. War aber ok. Waschmaschine und Trockner (Beides kostenlos) befinden sich im Haupthaus. Ich habe mehrmals gewaschen. Da ich meine ganzen Funktionssachen aber nie in den Trockner gebe, musste ich leider alles in der Wohnung überall drüber hängen (Kleiderbügel, Stühle usw). Es gab leider keinen Wäscheständer in der Wohnung - das wäre noch perfekt! Fast täglich habe ich gekocht. Das bedeutet für mich auf Island nur Nudeln mit Sauce und Würstchen. Die 2 Kochfelder haben mir also gereicht und ich habe mich sehr über die Mikrowelle und Geschirrspüler gefreut. Es gibt auch eine Kaffeemaschine und einen Wasserkocher. Töpfe waren leider nicht in so ganz guter Verfassung, aber es reiche so aus! Das Bett war gut und es gab noch zusätzliche Kissen und Decken im Schrank. Auch waren genügend Handtücher da. Gereinigt wurde bei mir zwischendurch nicht noch mal trotz der langen Zeit, aber ich hatte einen kleinen Besen und wegen Corona fand ich das auch so gut! Am ersten Abend hatte ein Pärchen bei mir geklingelt, weil wohl etwas mit den eMails und der Raumvergabe durcheinander gegangen ist. Das hat sich aber schnell aufgeklärt. Kann ich empfehlen! Ich würde wieder kommen

What a hidden gem! We stayed in Sæluhus Apartments only for one night and I wish we stayed longer. Modern, clean, quiet, with a wonderful shower and a comfortable bed, this studio apartment has all you may need plus a nice view from the balcony. No hassle parking, a 10 min. walk to a supermarket and a pleasant 15 min walk into town through the beautiful botanic garden. We hope to come back one day!
