The neighborhood is not great for walking, but there are sidewalks directly adjacent to the house, and you can walk safely around the block. We found hiking trails at Money Rocks County Park in the Welsh Mountains (about 30 minutes) that we did not try... yet. And we found a wonderful park within 5 minutes ...

«Well-maintained, clean spacious well located property. Proximity to the new Linden coffee was a bonus.(once a one room school house) Only drawback was closeness to fairly heavily traveled Road with a lot of truck traffic. Still can’t beat the location. It is smack dab in the middle of Amish country with many Amish neighbors and an Amish host.»

«The house was excellent - just as described. It was spacious, comfortable and gave us the historic feel we were looking for in the heart of Gettysburg. Location was ideal allowing easy walks to the Gettysburg circle, the battlefield and many options for dining / shopping. We enjoyed it immensely and would not hesitate to go back to the Barclay House in the future.»

A short walk to the winery for a tasting of some of the best wine we've ever had. The proximity to state college and all of its amenities was wonderful. Really enjoyed the stay, will be back!»
