Quaint and Convenient
We found the place very quaint in a beautiful location. The green space next door was full of different birds to discover and listen too and having access to 3 different pools as well as the beach was awesome. Playa de Ropa is the best beach we've been too. The room was nice and clean with great staff.

Great stay in La Ropa beach
We had a fabulous stay at this condo. Naomi’s unit is a wonderful studio in the Villa del sol. We loved the layout, the gardens and pools and access to the beautiful beach at La Ropa. Lupita, the local contact, was welcoming and dealt with all our needs. There are good restaurants close by and a new pickleball facility within a 10 min walk . We will definitely be back!

Loved the Little Condo With Direct Access To The Beach
The condo was a very clean and comfortable studio. The property is gorgeous and we enjoyed the 5 minute walk past several swimming pools and the tropical grounds connecting the hotel and condos to get to the beautiful soft sand beach where our reserved beach lounges were set up every day (you have to call or email the front office to reserve and there is a very small charge). We took a taxi to the grocery store for a few supplies and margarita makings and had breakfast and several lunches in the condo but there are 5 or 6 restaurants within walking distance (we didn’t have a car and didn’t really need one) if you want to go out. The shrimp and seafood dishes are always very fresh. For a break from Mexican meals - which were all good - try the Italian and Pizza restaurants across the street. For a breakfast out go the tall orange hotel down the beach and go around to the front and ask for the restaurant. It was the best breakfast and is a very good deal. The condo was cleaned several times by a very friendly housekeeper. We would love to stay there again.

Private Getaway
We walked past a small pool overlooking lush tropical vegetation and opened a gate that led to stairs that took us to our own little hideaway. We had a good sized outside patio with table and 4 chairs. The kitchen had a two burner stove which we didn’t use, but the refrigerator and freezer were good, the ice cubes were made with bottled water. Coffee maker, microwave, electric tea kettle and blender were all offered. Air conditioning was perfect! Mattress was comfortable, bathroom was roomy, and our living room was large enough for 3 couples to enjoy ourselves and dance!! We could hear the ocean from the patio, and even from our bedroom. We got Netflix on the TV, and the walk to the beach was just minutes away, and well paved. We would love to come back!!

La Playa Ropa
The bed was a little more firm than I could handle, and I was felt a little misled about the proximity to the beach, but we were overall satisfied with our stay. The price was right and the nights were quiet. Clean room, cool, air, bottled water included. A grill would be nice, just because I like to grill, but I didn’t except one.

Villa Del Sol
Enjoyed having our own lounges at the beach! We had sunny skies—-a little on the hot side! The place was very clean and nicely decorated! Staff were very friendly and accommodating! The fridge may need replacing soon—- noisy, my husband levelled it which helped! We hope to be back next year!( we had one very noisy night caused by the people above but Lupita managed to put a stop to it!)

Privacy and Bliss
We really loved La Ropa and our condo just up the hill from the beach. We had a lovely view of fireworks one night. Enjoyed hearing the ocean and total privacy. What a nice surprise to have padded chaise lounges set up at our request for us each day, right in line with all the palapas and lounges from the Thompsons Resort. Just steps from their bar and restaurant. A big bonus for staying here! We will be back!

Perfect Getaway
Everything about this trip was smooth and easy. I enjoyed great weather and loved Zihuatanejo. This was the first time I have vacationed by myself. I felt totally safe in the town and particularly in the Residencias. I spent lots of time on the beach and at the pool, which was never occupied by anyone other than myself. The bright, traditional decor in the condo was cheerful and welcoming. The condo would have been perfect also for 2 people. A great spot I hope rent again.

4 Nights at Residencias Villa del Sol
This is a perfect spot for 2 people. The unit is so bright and airy and so private. We used the little pool just a few steps from the unit where the view is spectacular and you can hear the waves from La Ropa Bay. The beach also is a very short walk away with the use of lounge chairs and beach towels. Lovely spot! Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic holiday!
We loved everything about this place. The best part was the location. So close to the best beach in the area. And having our lounge chairs and umbrella waiting for us on the beach every day was the best perk of all! Noemi was very quick to respond to my inquiries and her property manager, Lupita was quite helpful as well. About the only thing we'd want different would be to be higher up in the building as it's a bit difficult to get a breeze on the patio the way it's recessed with a wall on both sides. The air conditioner worked very well and was quiet. However the fridge could get a bit noisy at times. I should mention there IS a TV with Netflix. It wasn't obvious in the pictures but it's there and was great to have. All in all I would highly recommend it and hope to return again next year.

New lounge chairs.
I was here for a wedding. I had a friend come over to check out the place and when we both sat down on the lounge chairs outside, they both blew up and broke. Not sure if they were broken before or not but they were definitely terribll cheap quality. I hope my $130 American paid for higher quality chairs so this doesn't happen to anyone else. It was very difficult to find someone that spoke English. I didn't really care until I needed to speak with them about getting my covid test. No worries though, the airport has a rapid test in 30 minutes for $30 American.

Perfect in paradise
This place is great! It is in a great location, numerous delicious restaurants within a 5 minute walk on the beach. The resedendias are very quiet and peaceful, it felt like I had the whole place to myself. The little pool is awesome and a real life saver if it’s feeling too warm outside. I could go on and on! I will definitely come back many times. Naomi was great and easy to communicate with. Perfect!

Relaxing, idyllic getaway
We were ecstatic to find this little gem of a place tucked away in the corner of the property. It was quiet and peaceful with stunning views from our very private patio. We were two days delayed in arriving and were able to add one extra day on but had to go down the beach to stay at an alternate hotel for our last night. Thank you Naomi for accommodating us the best you could. It was much appreciated. We were able to cook most of our breakfasts and a few light dinners and enjoyed the restaurants in the area, and on the beach. It was nice to stock the fridge with our own drinks as the price for cocktails at the Thompson Hotel were outrageous. For five dollars we taxied into the town and shopped at the outdoor market, and also at the Mega supermarket. We just blended our margaritas and put them in our thermos water bottles and took them down to the beach with us. The lounge chairs and umbrellas were very comfortable and we had our own chairs set up for us daily. The daily maid service was terrific, and we had fresh beach towels, two each, to take down to the beach. The beach itself could not have been better, great for walking as it was very flat. The surf was perfect with gentle waves and the water temperature was amazing. Just the right amount of breeze, not the Highwinds that you get on the East Coast. Honestly it was the nicest beach I’ve been on anywhere in Mexico. The small pool just up the steps from our patio was fantastic in the morning to sit and have coffee, and as the sun was going down to watch the sunset and have a glass of wine in The pool was idyllic. We walked across the street for coffees at the Loot each morning. Jungle pizza is just up the road. And Gianni‘s Italian restaurant was very good. The only slight negative was the bed was quite small for us, but not uncomfortable. And the kitchen was very ill equipped for cooking. It could use a proper frying pan, new toaster, and decent chef knife. Also there is no kettle so you have to heat your water in a pot. we appreciated the fresh water jugs delivered to the room though. We would definitely come back, and would stay two weeks instead of one. highly recommended this lovely studio apartment. P.s There is a new air conditioner unit in the suite which works perfectly well!

Perfect location
The condo was perfect for 2, and a very short walk to Playa La Ropa beach. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed the quiet pool, we actually had it to ourselves! The weather was amazing. The owner is very attentive to your requirements we enjoyed our stay very much. We ate at the Italian restaurant just down the block which was amazing I've never had ravioli that fresh in Canada! The condo had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Thanks again 😊

Nice studio
Good size studio and great location. Everything was wonderful, except for the air conditioner which I think they are trying to replace. It is right next to the bed and is very cold. The staff (front desk, maids, groundskeepers, and Lupita, our greeter) were all very friendly and helpful. Love the beach loungers and umbrella.

Superb surrounding but unit was lacking decent equipment.
We loved the site and the property was what we expected. We loved Zihuatanejo and we'll be back in the years to come. The staff on site was very helpful and the property, although adequate, was lacking decent equipment (coffee maker was broken, toaster was also broken but working one side at the time) My wife had to sleep in the living room because air conditioning was too strong and not easy to adjust. The maid was excellent and the site well appreciated. We are discussing if we will be back next year at the same place or another villa. We loved the beach and the environment. Great location on playa La Ropa
Great location on playa La Ropa! Beautifully manicured grounds and a nice easy walk to the beach. The condo is situated in a way that makes the balcony area very private; a small staircase takes you to one of the pools. This pool is a smaller pool for the nearby condos; for the majority of my stay no one was ever using this pool. There is also a larger pool for laps and such that is on the way to the beach; just a few minute walk. The condo has everything you need for your beach vacation; a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and plenty of utensils. Noemi emailed during our stay to see how things were going which was appreciated! The front desk employees were all super friendly and helpful!

Perfect Paradise
My wife and I stayed here for a week starting March 18, 2018. Our idea of a perfect vacation is clean comfortable unit, good unobtrusive service, access to pool and beach, opportunities for physical activities, great nearby restaurants, and the ability to be served drinks and food while lounging in beach chairs. The unit, while not luxurious, is perfect for a couple. Bathroom had 2 sinks and shower had great pressure. A/C was good, and bed was comfortable. Sitting area was great for finishing a puzzle, which is our vacation tradition. Kitchen was adequate for making breakfast and lunch. We like to go out for dinner, so no issue for us. Please don't expect great views from this unit because it is down and along the side of the building. The pool for this building was great when coming back from a day at the beach. We also took advantage of the 25 yard pool by swimming laps on a couple of mornings. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. The condo association has an agreement with the resort to share the beach. We were provided lounge chairs, a table, and an umbrella. Food and drink service was provided by the resort staff, and they were great. The prices were high, but food and beverage was fantastic. Would we go back? In a heart beat.

Perfect for us
Not quite a luxury condo but it was clean, sunny and quiet. The beach and hotel nearby is a luxury property and being within close walking distance to the beach and having access to the pool and hotel amenities was a big plus. We'll come back.

Private, Comfortable Suite on Playa la Ropa
Lovely studio suite in Residencias Villa del Sol with direct access to the beach. ‘Direct access’ means a short stroll through gardens and flowers to your own beach loungers, umbrella and side table. Your private beach area is shared with The Viceroy Hotel (name may have changed again) - bring your own cerveza or be served by the friendly waiters at the Viceroy. When we stayed in early February, the lounges were put up automatically every day with the fee pre-paid by the owner. (Thank you, Noemi!). Swimming area right in front and gorgeous sunsets. The studio is bright, very private and was quiet until the upstairs neighbours moved in. The garden view (including a vista of tree tops and a peek at the ocean) is lovely especially in the mornings when visited by many birds and butterflies. Internet is fast, the bed is comfortable, nice decor, adequate kitchen supplies. Noemi supplies the first large drinking water (10 gallon?). There are two small burners with the largest against the wall so a big pan doesn’t fit really, but it does get the job done. I might be the only reviewer that would like a tea pot...and a hair dryer...and screens on the door? PS If you enjoy a morning espresso ‘Loot’ is right across the road!

Loved our stay, miss it already!
This studio type condo is ideal for a couple. It's hidden between a tropical garden, with a terrace where we drank our coffee every morning while spotting beautiful birds, butterflies, and the ocasional iguana. It's decorated with a lovely Mexican style. The white sand beach surrounded by palm trees, is easily accesible and within the property. It's a great place to rest and relax, hopefully we can come back next year.

We loved this little and cozy condo!
My husband and I have really enjoyed our stay at this private and intimate condo in Villa del Sol. The kitchen is new and it was just what we need, with the basic cooking set to prepare easy meals. We loved the decoration with selected and colorful Mexican handicrafts. We had a wonderful and relaxing time on the terrace's hammock. The bathroom is small but very clean. Villa del Sol is one of the most exclusive properties in Zihuatanejo's beach, with a very friendly and always helpful staff. We can't wait to be in this nice condo again!!

Villa Del Sol Condo
While the Villa Del Sol property itself is quite nice, this particular condo needs to be fully updated including sinks, toilet, appliances, furniture and lighting. The unit is small and quite dark. It does not have much of a view of the ocean and there were small ants by the bathroom window. We were very disappointed with what we saw when we arrived. We will not be going back.

I appreciate your comments and feedback. We are in the process of renovating and upgrading the condo. As you say, the place doesn´t have a direct ocean view, but it´s not stated otherwise anywhere in the description. The beach is within the same property and easily accesible. I´m sorry that the place didn´t meet your expectations, but it´s the first time we´ve had this situation , in over 10 years that we´ve been renting it. Regards

We loved it!
This lovely little condo had everything we were looking for. It was was perfect for the two of us--clean, quiet, private and with a fully operating kitchen very functional. The view was mostly into the gardens, but we could hear the waves splashing up on the shore and the birdsong in the morning was wonderful.

Lovely peaceful place is a wonderful gated complex
Cute studio apartment that is tucked in below. with large covered patios. Must be able to use stairs. Private pool right near you and larger pools just a moments walk away. Beach is a 2 minute walk thru the Viceroy. Loungers, umbrella and side table are brought to the beach for you with your room number on them. Unit is tired, we didn't have hot water one day, shower head needs replacing, kitchen is weak & airconditioning works only ok. That said, we loved it here!!!
