Welcome to Tortoise Oasis, a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house tucked away in a quiet neighborhood only a 10 minute drive to Joshua Tree National Park.

With endless activities and amenities, you will never be bored. The Oasis is a perfect location to unwind, have some fun, and relax during your next vacation getaway.

Hot tub, hammocks, barbeque, serene atmosphere and endless games. What's not to love? Your vacation awaits.



The Space:
Tortoise Oasis sits in a quiet residential neighborhood in Joshua Tree and features a mix of mid-century modern and bohemian aesthetic and can accommodate up to 6 guests.

A place to entertain: With endless games and activities, you will be sure to never get bored. Shuffleboard, Bocce Ball, Ping Pong, Corn Hole are all provided for your enjoyment.

A place to relax: Relax in the backyard in one of the hammocks under the tree or take a dip in the hot tub to unwind. Enjoy sitting in the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit.

A place to connect: A large dining room table with an extra large table on the back patio are perfect for grilling and eating a nice meal.

A place to unwind: Enjoy your favorite movies and shows on the digitally streaming platforms Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Video that are provided.



About the Property:
-BEDROOMS-
Designed for up to 6 people, the master bedroom has an extra large California King size bed and the additional bedroom has 2 Queen size mattresses. Additional storage, blankets, as well as luggage racks are provided in each closet.

-BATHROOMS-
Each bathroom is fully stocked with towels, makeup removers and complimentary Tresemme Shampoo & Conditioner, as well as Body wash.

Forget to bring any toiletries? We have you covered. The following spare items are provided at no extra charge for any traveler than may have forgotten anything!

Enjoy a complimentary Coffee bar on us! Fully stocked with Joshua Tree Coffee company coffee, a drop coffee maker as well as a Chemex pour over coffee maker and a great assortment of tea’s provided for your enjoyment!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to entire property. Only registered guests are allowed, unless specifically agreed upon during the booking process. Any unannounced guests will be asked to leave and the reservation may be cancelled at will.

While I won't be available in person, I am just a short phone call away!



Other things to note:
PLEASE respect our neighbors. Our home is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Noise travels in the thin desert air. No outside noise or music after 10pm.

Use hot tub at your own risk. You will be charged a $300 draining fee if you put any soaps or powders in the hot tub. No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the hot tub area. NO GLASS near the hot tub.

We have an outdoor camera system on the property and noise monitor to ensure these rules are adhered to.

I rented this house so my 15 year old twins would be entertained with the shuffle board, ping pong, and hot tub. We used the shuffle board a lot and had a blast with that. The hot tub was a steamy 104, my kids loved it. The fire pit was a nice touch as well. The bedrooms were really cozy and the beds were super comfortable. We all slept really well. The house is in a nicer area of Yucca and close to Walmart and restaurants. We felt very safe.

Owner not responsive to issues

The first impression was pretty rough. The front of the property had giant weeds growing out of the side walks and flower beds. The trash cans were left half in the street and half on the lawn from the week before. I know this because the trash pick up was the first morning that we were there. The back yard was just as covered in weeds. The inside of the home was clean, nice and well equipped. We had a great time playing shuffle board. The location was great, very convenient to the park.The issue we had was that only one of the showers worked and there was not a note left explaining the situation. We didn't discover the issue until late at night when the master bedroom with the other bathroom had guests asleep in it. When we were finally able to make contact with the owner the next day they would not send someone out to repair the shower nor would they make any financial compensation for the inconvenience. They said they would have it repaired after we left. On top of that they charge a hefty security deposit that they charge at the time of the reservation and do not refund it until 14 days after the end of the reservation. This is the highest security deposit that we have ever been charged with VRBO. So be aware, if you make a reservation 2 months in advance they will hold the entire deposit that entire time!

Fantastic house!

We loved our stay here! Great location close to Joshua Tree (the town and the park). We had so much fun playing shuffle puck and ping pong. Adorable decor, well-stocked. Truly top notch!

City Detox

So very happy that my boyfriend and I booked at the Tortoise Oasis for a post-new year city detox. From the time of booking right to check-out, the property manager (Ryan) was attentive, helpful, and super responsive. The property was a perfect size and SO well appointed. Every detail was thought of and so appreciated, it made our stay relaxing and pleasant. Shuffleboard, jacuzzi, and other board games were a HUGE hit and a great was to be present and spend time together. A lovely, lovely place to book if you are gisoting Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree. Don't even think twice.

Joshua Tree Trip 2023

Beautiful property lots of activities

Beautiful property had an amazing time would love to stay here again. Lots of weeds about 4 feet tall all around the property. Could not use the hammocks since the weeds are so tall. Weeds all around the fire pit didn’t feel safe lighting it didn’t want to catch the property on fire. Used all the other things shuffle board and ping pong table. Thanks for such an amazing home and a great vacation.

Great place close to Joshua Tree

This house was awesome - lots of entertainment for my kids - we especially enjoyed the shuffle board and the hot tub. Super close to Joshua Tree National Park. Everything was super easy, good communication, beautiful house.

Great

From booking to check out, this place was great. Location to Joshua tree national park is good. The house itself is comfortable, spacious and well stocked. The beds are comfortable. After a long day hiking in Joshua, the hot tub was a bonus. Evenings we enjoyed the many options on the tv or playing the games that are at the house. This is a good vacation home.

Great home away from home and base camp.

We chose this property for its amenities and the location to surrounding areas we wanted to visit (Joshua Tree NP, Salton Sea, Palm Springs...). The property was well appointed, comfortable beds/pillows, and well-supplied - honestly, we just needed our clothes and groceries. The hot tub was used nightly and provided relaxation after hiking and traveling about all-day. Shuffleboard championships were had as well as some very amateur ping-pong! Communication was good and quick in response.

Fun place - good for a family with very amenities

Stayed here for 2 nights while we went to Joshua Tree. Check in was very easy becaues of the smart lock, which we really appreciated. We really loved the ping pong table - it's in great shape and we had a blast playing it. Hot tub was great too. The beds were also very comfortable and we appreciated the extra touches (blankets, shampoo, charging cord). The location is very close to Joshua Tree National Park (15 minutes) as well as the main highway where all of the restaurants and shops are. It's an older house so don't expect luxury but overall we thought it was great! Ps. Extremely minor - It was missing a chemex filter so we couldn't make pour over but we just used the other coffee maker.

We had a great stay! Spacious and well decorated. Had small things that we really appreciated like beach towels for the hot tub, coffee, and a well stocked kitchen. Was about a 20 min drive to the west entrance of JT and very close to groceries.

Home away from home!

This property is beautiful! The entire process start to finish was a breeze! The Tortoise Oasis is exactly how it seems in the pictures. Booking the property was seamless and the property manager is friendly and was very accommodating. The property was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. It felt like home away from home. Definitely booking this property again in the future!

Wow!!!

There needs to be a rank above 5. This place was not only clean and comfortable, it had everything. Games, Jacuzzi, great outdoor and all that but even inside!!!! Toiletries, chargers with every connection necessary in both rooms. Believe me, if you forgot something, they have it. I visit yucca often, this will be my home away from home every single time. Spectacular
