Our group of 14 enjoyed a wonderful stay at the mansion celebrating a 60th birthday and family reunion. The view from the house is spectacular and the house offers enough amenities to entertain a 3 year old, teens/young adults and adult couples, and all this in January when the cold, gloomy and rainy weather limited our enjoyment of the outdoors. We made good use of the pool, the infinity table and all the common spaces. Bedrooms were very comfortable, bathrooms plentiful, and dining areas fit all of us easily. David, the host, was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and accommodating. His recommendations of the private chef (Hillary) and mobile massage service (Paisley), made our stay even more relaxing.

We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Roundtop Mansion in Wrightsville. The house itself is magnificent, but it was all the thoughtful touches that made our retreat unforgettable. The kitchen may be small, but it had everything we needed — plus multiple refrigerators and dishwashers, which made group meals easy. We loved that they provided paper products, coffees, teas, and a great little coffee area.The home was spotless, with plenty of clean towels, beach towels, and lots of cozy throw blankets. The laundry room with two washers and two dryers was a huge help. The pool was fantastic, and the observatory at the top of the house offered amazing views we’ll never forget.We also appreciated the beautiful spiritual books placed throughout the home — such a warm, peaceful touch. And the elevator made the stay perfect for family members with mobility challenges.Roundtop Mansion is a special place, and the many small extras made it even more memorable. Our family will cherish this retreat forever.

The property is outstanding, with great views. There is plenty of room for people to both gather and have their own space. I highly recommend getting a golf cart because the trails were really nice. We enjoyed seeing all the deer on the trails just before dusk.

Beautiful views and accommodations

Our multigeneration family had a lovely time at Roundtop Mansion. After driving up the winding driveway, you look up and there it is! Plenty of room for twelve of us with multiple balconies and patios to spread out. The youth spent a lot of time in the indoor pool and playing games together. The adults read, hiked, explored and had time with family members to catch up. One highlight was a rather explosive thunderstorm that we watched from the "crow's nest" with all its windows! golf cart rentals allowed for some fun field adventures. We enjoyed a few trips into Lancaster for a play, farmers' markets and shopping. There was never a delay in getting a response to any questions or concerns and problems were fixed as quickly as possible. Although the kitchen is small we were able to prepare meals and navigate around each other. Multiple refrigerators gave us adequate food storage space. As with most rentals, don't forget to bring your own sharp knives if you wish to prepare lots of food. Other than that, the mansion is well equipped.

Family Trip 2025

This trip was a Christmas gift to our children and their families. We are a large group (20) and need lots of room and lots of bathrooms. When I saw this on VRBO I felt that it would meet our needs. However, the description and photos could not explain how breathtaking this home is, inside and out. From the views of the river, the sunsets, the village across the way, the home's furnishings, the comfortable beds, the large suites (so nice for the couples with young children), the sauna and hot tub, the snowy white linens and towels, there was nothing we could have desired that was not available. David was immediately responsive to any questions that we had. The elevator and the golf cart were a godsend to someone who has knee replacement surgery scheduled in 6 weeks (me). From the time we arrived until the time we left, we had a wonderful time and hope to return sometime to make more wonderful memories. If I could rate this home 10 stars I would.

Excellent stay for micro wedding!

This was an amazing property that we were able to host our micro-wedding (15 people) at. The common areas were perfect for allowing all of us to hang out at the same time, and the pool was great for relaxing. We loved the outdoor spaces even in the cool weather. The bedrooms were all comfortable, with the main bedrooms being spacious and felt like a hotel. I loved the bathroom in the main floor bedroom, and the basement bedroom was extra private with its own sitting room. The hosts were very very responsive, and we're accommodating to last minute requests and changes. The kitchen was definitely small for a house this size, so cooking for a big group was a bit of a challenge, but we hired a private chef one night who had no issues making us a great meal.

50th birthday trip w friends

This beautiful home tucked away in Wrightsville allowed 14 women, some who had just met and some who have been friends for 40 years to enjoy being present with one another, talking, sharing stories of the past and dreams of the future. The house was beautifully decorated and so much to do onsite! We utilized the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, paddle boards at the lake, hiking travels and spent hours talking in all the cozy nooks, decks and large spaces. Highly recommend.

The Ultimate Mountain Escape

Where do I start? This mountain top mansion is a slice of heaven! If you are looking for breathtaking views, endless amenities, and total relaxation, look no further. From the moment we arrived, we were all blown away by the sheer size and beauty of the location- views that go on for miles and a sense of peaceful seclusion thats hard to find. Property is extremely well equipt and the host was amazing- super responsive, friendly and quick to handle all wuestions. We made memories we will all cherish forever, and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this property-Just book it!

Perfect everything!

We had our first family reunion in 25+ years in Lancaster and we had adults and toddlers/infants stay at Roundtop. It was perfect - the family areas, indoor pool, outdoor sauna/hot tub/plunge pool and we spent our last night making s’mores over the fire pit. The views were incredible and we made so many memories here. My 5 year old son asked if we can go back every July :) Would highly recommend! David was extremely responsive and very accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing property!

The view is exceptional! We stayed here with family and had a blast! Plenty of room to spread out. The group of teenagers we had loved the indoor pool and hot tub. We got the carts as an add-on and that was an even bigger hit. The property has a few nice trails to ride on and the entire family loved it. The host was attentive and responsive to minor issues that arose without being intrusive. We really enjoyed our time atop the mountain.
