«I wonder if this hotel is understaffed. The staff who were there were very nice, but we had to get things for ourselves--more tissues off the housekeeping cart. Also, I said in advance I needed non-feather pillows, because I'm allergic to feather. No one switched the feather for foam before I got there, and then they only had one foam pillow to give me! (Which they handed to me in the lobby, so I carried it up myself.)»

«It has been upgraded from last year, did see a couple of small bugs, made us a little nervous, didn’t have enough luggage carts. Very friendly staff. Wished they had bacon or sausage for breakfast. Did have sausage gravey which was good.»

«The room was perfect and the view was beautiful. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. We had a wonderful lunch in their restaurant. The marketplace had some good options when we got back from the ballpark after our game went into 11 innings Can’t say enough! We had a wonderful visit»

«Staff was all wonderful and extremely nice to me and my wife. Very helpful with information about how to get around the city easier. Breakfast at the restaurant was great as well. Hotel and room were both clean. The only complaint was the bed wasn’t very comfortable to us.»

«Loved the style and cleanliness and how helpful the staff was ! We had a room with 2 bunk beds and I was looking so forward to being on one of the top bunks but !! The way the ladder is designed to climb up , makes it very difficult to climb up to the top! It’s a straight up not slanted ladder and you have to turn to the right to grab the bed safety guard which is difficult to do as you’re trying to pull yourself to the top ! «I get that it’s an old building that won’t be perfect and usually I find staying in historic hotels to be charming, but the condition and cleanliness of my room were pretty disappointing. Upon arrival, it was as though no one had stayed in or even entered that room for a very long time.
