«The hotel was beautifully renovated with many original fittings. It is in a great location for shopping and dining, with all the major stores within walking distance. The staff were very nice and replied promptly to some questions I had before check in. I was only there overnight and didn't get up in time for breakfast but the menu looked great. My only very minor negative comment would be that the bed was very creaky. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit Ballarat. »

«The shower floor had had a temporary repair and needed re-tiling as water was getting under the tiles and was squishy. Otherwise, the suite was excellent.»

«The Provincial is a wonderful choice for an overnight stay in Ballarat. The hotel is beautifully presented, with clean, comfortable rooms and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. The location is ideal—central and convenient, yet still quiet enough for a great night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and attentive, and everything from check-in to check-out was seamless.
