«The city double was so much better than expected. Spacious room and big bathroom. Breakfast had good choices. The gatsby bar was a beautiful area to sit and drink the night away. Staff were very attentive.»

«A stunning hotel in an incredible location right on the lake, with breathtaking views throughout. The rooms, facilities and overall standard of the resort were excellent, but the real standout was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive and welcoming, which made the stay feel even more special. Would definitely recommend Low Wood Bay and would happily return.»

«We had a wonderful two night stay at the Linthwaite House Hotel. Very nice and attentive staff, comfortable rooms and a beautiful location. Upon our late arrival the welcoming staff prepared sandwiches and drinks for us in the lovely lounge area even though the kitchen was closed. We tried the tasting menu which was delicious. The stay exceeded our expectations and we will definitely come again!»

«Not usually one to write a review but I had to this time! From the outside looking in you would think this is a beautiful place to stay but in my experience it was anything but! For some reason me and my wife were put in a disabled room to start with? Which we found odd! Stated on our reservation that we had a double bed, we didn’t it was 2 singles pushed together? We then booked a table at the restaurant expecting a nice meal, after waiting 15 minutes for a member of staff to actually show up, ...

«The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular ...

«Hydro hotel occupies an old building with spacious hallways and rooms. No elevators. The rooms do nor have the standard that we have come to expect today, but they are clean and everthing is working. All personell is service minded. On the positive side I was positively surprised by the quality of the food served at dinner: excellent!. »
