Winter ‘27 Seasonal Available-Dog Friendly Chalet in the Woods + Pool, Mt. Snow

  • Come and relax in our secluded, 2,000sq ft home in the woods. Our chalet is private and quiet, with enough room for your group to spread out and enjoy on multiple levels of the home.

    Perfect for use by families & groups during all seasons, our home provides lots of privacy from the hustle & bustle of city life. We are dog friendly as well! (up to 2 dogs maximum please).

    Skiing (Mt. Snow ~10mins/Stratton ~30mins), hiking, swimming, kayaking, mountain biking & more. Harriman Reservoir is a 5min drive and is perfect for a swim or lovely picnic.

    Finished basement with big screen TV & lots of seating, pool table & darts to unwind after a day on the slopes or on the lake.

    On the main level, there are leather couches by the warm fireplace and two sliding doors that lead out to a wraparound deck

    Out front, there’s a fire pit for those chilly VT nights.

    At the clubhouse, there are both indoor & outdoor pools, an indoor hot tub, tennis courts, fishing pond

    Guests have access to the clubhouse, which includes indoor & outdoor pools, indoor hot tub, exercise room, etc.

    Tennis Courts, Fishing Pond, and numerous hiking & snowmobile trails also available.

    During the winter months, guests can also use the skating rink.

Cody Chalet

Our 2024 Christmas gift to our family was a ski weekend at Stratton Mountain. This property was perfect for us. Nestled in a wooded lot, it slept 10, kept us warm and cosy even in single digit temps. We would definitely recommend this property.

The property was lovely, the teens had lots to do and could hang out in the den play pool, darts and watch movies. The bedrooms were cozy, water pressure was great and lots of hot water was available. We were happy we could have our dogs with us. The driveway was somewhat steep and a little scary for people unaccustomed to driving in icy road conditions but the owner was quick to respond and have it deiced. The owner was very responsive and nice.

Quick drive to Mt Snow and comfortable

The house was clean, spacious, and we’ll set up for ski groups. We used the pool and the club house. Plowing was prompt even with a big snow storm.

Great house! Great location

From booking, to check in. Dan made everything super easy. The house had so much room for everyone. We had 3 teenagers and 2 adults. Mt Snow is only 13mins away. The heated pool and jacuzzi in the community was nice after a day of riding. Will be back to this location. They have everything you need in the kitchen for cooking. Thank you!

I would like to start off by saying that the hosts were very friendly and responsive. I had the upmost confidence in them responding within minutes. As for the stay, it really became a nightmare. We booked for 3 nights and this was the first time we ever stayed in a VRBO which we booked through Expedia. I had no idea that they were going to post a huge deposit to my credit card and that they hold this amount for 12 days after checkout. This is not clearly stated on Expedia's site. I spent almost 3 hours of total time trying to resolve this and also, the VRBO reps are difficult to communicate with. As for the place...I guess we just expected more for the amount paid. I specifically booked this VRBO because it had a hot tub but when we went to the area, the hot tub clearly was under construction. The host said they thought the hot tub had been completed but when I called the HOA, they actually said the hot tub just got done a week ago. When we walked into the VRBO, the basement area where the pool table is smells like a mildewy smell. The upstairs part was nicer however, there were dead bees on the stairwell leading upstairs and almost every utensil or plate had dried food on it. It just wasn't a place where we felt excited to come back to sleep.

Lovely southern Vermont

Great place to stay, with all the conveniences of home. Quiet and secluded it offered a great home base for local activities.
