Hidden Little Gem

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cottage on the farm! The space was spotless, cozy, and so peaceful — the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Dana and her family are truly amazing hosts; they made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Every little detail was thought of to make our stay comfortable and special. The goats are super friendly and became BFFs with our dogs! If you’re looking for a clean, quiet retreat with the warmest hospitality, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

EXCELLENT

First of all we WILL be back. This cute little private home away from home is exactly what you see in the pictures. It’s so peaceful and relaxing here. We loved everything about it as well as the distance from noise but also close enough to visit stores, restaurants and family in the villages. But what made this stay even better was the hosts went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They are the sweetest family and so easy to connect with. They make sure all is good, they are available to your needs and I personally loved letting them know how much we loved their property. We highly recommend their little sweet spot to stay at. Very reasonable and very clean. Thank you Dana and family, we will be back.

Cute Cottage

We got to the cottage too late on the first night and were unable to find it in the dark. Stayed with relatives. Found it fine in the daylight the next day. Nice having the landlord very close by. The cottage internet was spotty but life doesn't revolve around the computer. All good, enjoyed our stay. Thank you Dana!

Great little getaway

We stayed here while visiting some friends that were snowbirding at 3 flags campground. It was perfect for my wife and I.The host was fantastic. We had one small issue when when we first arrived however, the host took care of that quickly and we had a great stay.

Tired of the cookie cutter Villages properties?

This property is nestled in the small community of Coleman, just outside Wildwood and away from the golf carts of the Villages. Goats and chickens are your neighbors and the host family is very friendly and will check to make sure all is well without being intrusive. The host family also has a beautiful well tended vegetable garden The property is perfect for a couple, very private and has one room with kitchen, bedroom, small dining table, and TV viewing/reading area. The bathroom is behind rolling barn door, appropriately. The neighborhood is safe and walkable for a fitness session, food stores are a short drive away. Many restaurants are available for public dining each night in the Villages, along with Happy Hours and in some cases outdoor live music concerts. Easy drive to Wildwood, Leesburg, Tavares, Clermont and even Mount Dora for Renninger's Antique Market. Easy day trip to Cedar Key to have lunch on the Gulf waterfront. Beef cattle graze two pastures over, and a friendly rooster helps you wake up each morning in a nice way. Want to try a "taste of a farm" with your next VRBO in Central Florida? Try this property meant for two people only.

Lovely peaceful stay

I was looking for a place to relax for a few days and this was absolutely perfect. Quiet and peaceful. There are State parks, not too far away for hiking. Dana is a great very responsive host. The cottage is fully equipped and very clean. A bonus for me was the chickens and sheep.

Picture perfect home!

This was our home for 2 weeks, & it actually felt like home every day when we returned from visits & exploring. It is exactly like the pictures and was perfect for the 2 of us and our small dog. Dana was very responsive and welcoming from booking to departure. She was always available if needed, but we had complete privacy. Dana has included almost anything you could need for bath & kitchen, plus lots of nice extras like the electric fireplace, gas grill, coffee bar and private courtyard with twinkle lights. The home was very clean and oh so cozy! I hope we will visit again next year! Thanks Dana for being a wonderful host!

Quiet Country Cottage

Very private, quiet and clean cottage. For the owner, possibly a bedside table lamp and a little oil for the squeaky vintage bed would go a long way. Otherwise, everything was perfectly clean to make the stay very enjoyable and homey.
