It's a bit like staying in a ghost town as it was once a great property with a pool, a bar, a restaurant, and large family area. Now all of that is shut down. But the room was a nice, large room and we walked to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was a great value for the money.

I made a reservation for two nights and couldn’t make it the first night. I got charged for the first night which is perfectly acceptable bc I didn’t call and cancel. But when I showed up for the second night, I was told I no longer had a reservation bc I didn’t show on the first night. I don’t if this is standard in the industry but nobody even tried to contact me to see if I still wanted the second night. I would’ve considered that much better customer service. Also, it would’ve been so much nicer to have had my late checkout request accommodated. When I’m booking a hotel to see friends and we’re going out at night, nobody wants to wake up to an alarm and drag themselves out of bed. I know rooms have to be turned, but man that would’ve been way better for me as the customer. I’m open to that being an unreasonable request though since I don’t know everything that goes into turning and filling rooms. But it was also a Sunday and can’t imagine the demand for rooms was massive. And the requests often get accommodated at other hotels.

Front desk don’t speak English very hard to understand Didn’t hand me back my ID just put it on the counter without telling me. Next morning still on the counter for anyone to take. Did BOT have the Amenities as advertised. Pretty dirty hallways and did not smell very good.

It was a horrible experience all around I paid cash for the first two nights because they claimed they had no tap to pay or credit card machine at all for that matter. They charged me $$$ dollars per night + tax and a bill for cash deposit. The room was dated and there was hair in our bed. Good thing we got a double queen room and not the king we asked for so we slept in the other bed. Both mattresses where very old and you could feel and heat the springs inside. The television was all unplugged and we worked 45 minutes figuring out the 6 wires that had to be plugged in and then running the set up for the cable service they have. There was no phone in the room and the shower rod had been ripped from the wall and poorly repaired. It looked like it could fall down at any moment. The water pressure was non existent and the toilet ran the entire time. The whole hotel has an odor. It was quite strong like ethnic food and incense. There is no breakfast even though the website and hotels.com promises it. The pool has been reduced to a rubbish filled hole an eyesore to be polite. It looks like it may have been a nice place at one time. The worst part about it is the staff the Latino cleaning ladies stand around talking about guest in Spanish thinking that no one understands their secret language im guessing because the things they said were disgusting and inappropriate in any setting especially work. My partner I were given nice slur as a pet name in reference to our sexuality

Conference stay
The room was nice, I could tell there had been some updates. The bathroom looked like a rush job to update could used more work. No pool or workout center sucked as I really needed to workout. Staff was really nice, place was quiet and a good price.

Nothing unique. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. Need to be replaced badly. Ambiance was less than comfortable. Needs to be made to feel more welcoming.

The first room I was assigned to looked like it really needed a deep cleaning and the thermostat was falling apart. The front desk staff were helpful in changing me to a different room because the shower's hot water did not work. The second room was a lot more clean and looked like it was better kept, and had hot water. Overall, since I got to see 2 rooms in the same stay, I would say it's hit or miss on how the room will be. In regards to noise, being on the first floor, the first night/morning there was a small child in the room above me that was quite noisy. Also, on one morning but not the other, the hallway was noisy. Again, hit or miss on my experience.

When we arrives at 2:30 pm the office was empty. Waited almost 30 minutes for someone to arrive. When i got to my room noticed hair on the pillows that was not my hair. My daughter and i went walking around the facilities to find the pool. The pool was under construction. This was not posted on the website or mentioned when we checked in. This was the reason for choosing this hotel in the first place. I was very disappinted and ended checking out early even with the loss of money for the non refundable room.
