The space
This newly renovated 700 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is designed with families in mind. The spacious covered porch is the heart of the property, featuring a dining area, refrigerator, and bar setup—perfect for shared meals and lakeside lounging. A porch swing and rocking chairs invite you to unwind while taking in the peaceful water views with your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

New! High-speed WiFi is now available throughout the home, making it easy to stay connected, stream your favorite entertainment, or catch up on work while enjoying beautiful lake views.

During summer months, guests are welcome to enjoy the kayaks for time on the water. They are shared between two properties, The Lake and Shack and Camp Blair's Bluff, which is the property next door, so they may be used by other guests during your stay. A selection of lifejackets is provided, though bringing your own is recommended for the best fit. Please note: Kentucky law requires all kayakers to have a flotation device, and children 12 and under must wear a lifejacket at all times while on the water.

Lake access varies throughout the year based on water levels. When the lake is high, getting in and out of the water is easy. When the lake is low, access becomes more limited—especially for swimming or launching kayaks.

The Corps of Engineers lowers the water level of the lake beginning October 15th and ends April 15th. During this time, water activities are unavailable due to little to no water in this section of the lake.

We provide kayaks for guests to enjoy on the lake. They are shared between two properties, so they may be used by other guests during your stay. We appreciate everyone returning them after use so all guests have the opportunity to enjoy them.

Please note that ease of access to the lake depends on the water level, which can vary throughout the year. When the lake is high, it's easy to get in and out of the water.
