The cottage was everything as it was advertised. The owner Joe bent over backwards to accommodate everything we needed.I can’t say enough good things about our experience with the property and the owner and the neighborhood. Location, location, location. Spectacular view on the water.I would give them a 1010 if that was an option. We hope to stay there again.

We loved staying at Joe's place! My mom, son and I stayed 5 days and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. We enjoyed all of the outdoor areas and loved being able to sit by the water. The outdoor shower was a highlight. We used it every day. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. Thank you Joe for allowing us to stay at your beautiful place.

Weekend Escape

We found the cottage to be perfectly charming. We stocked up on groceries before we got there and found that we were happy to not have to leave the cottage for anything once arriving. Joe was very helpful and we were able to be self sufficient for the weekend, finding the house had a good supply of everything. The view was wonderful and we enjoyed it from inside at the table, on the patio grilling, and from the beach. Neighbors were very respectful even during a busy holiday weekend so we still found it felt like we had our own space. The kayaking and fire pit were our highlights of the trip. Thank you Joe for a wonderful summer holiday. PS our pup had the best time too!!

Truly a Gem

My husband and I stayed here for a week in the run up to our wedding, and we couldn't have picked a better spot! The house is incredibly well maintained, very clean, and with very nice appliances (including a dishwasher). Inside, the entire side of the upper level facing the lake has contiguous windows, providing a stunning view of Wyman pond and the large hills behind it. All three bedrooms are very nice, beds are comfortable, and including the one outdoors, there are three nice showers. We had a lot of fun kayaking (4 kayaks come with the property), and our puppy had fun learning to swim. In addition to a really nice gas oven/stove inside, the outdoor space has an enormous built in grill (plus two side burners), and lots of space for a nice outdoor meal. Joe is great, he's very responsive and takes care of things very well. The neighbors are very friendly, and the property is quite private. If you're considering this property, rest assured you'll enjoy it!

We spent the weekend at the cottage while visiting family in the area. I love waking up to a water view. Great outdoor living space is a beautiful surrounding. It is a great place for any season.

Girls Trip

Property better than expected! The host, Joe and his wife could not be any more accommodating. So Pleasant. House clean, plenty of room, amazing views of the lake and the mountains. Outdoor space was spectacular and we loved the outdoor kitchen space. Lake tour on their boat was so much fun. We all relaxed, kayaked and enjoyed our time so much! This is a must if looking for a nice house on a lake for your next getaway.

Lake Life at its Best!

If you want to relax in a serene lake setting with a spectacular outdoor patio - this is the place to be! Enjoy the lake and get out on the water with kayaks and don’t miss a pontoon boat ride.

Delightful Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at this house, which sits right on the water. The location was perfect and provided a stunning view, making it a pleasure to stay here. The house was spotless and well-stocked with everything we could possibly need for the week. Whether it was sleeping comfortably, having an outdoor cookout, or enjoying activities by the lake, we were well accommodated. Joe was an amazing host—super friendly and responsive. He even took us on a boat tour around the lake, which was a highlight of our trip. We had a blast hanging out on the floats and canoes, soaking up some much-needed sunlight while enjoying the refreshing 85-degree water. Overall, it was a delightful experience that we would love to repeat!

Gorgeous House and Great Host!

We just spent three nights here and had a wonderful time! Joe was an amazing host! He printed out packets for us with instructions for everything in the house, from how to work the fans to where to order food. Even left us refreshments, ice, and snacks as a welcome! Upon checking in he gave us a quick tour of the house as well so we would know where everything was. The house was immaculately clean upon check-in and looked just like the pictures. Since we were in a heat wave, we were very grateful for the house's AC, which worked great so that we could all sleep comfortably. We loved waking up in the master bedroom and then eating breakfast with the large windows looking out onto the lake. I came with my husband and three-year-old during a June heat wave and we made quick use of the lake right outside the back door. The dock was easy to get on and off for swimming. Kayaks were located right next to the dock for us to take a quick spin around the lake a couple of days. My son adored digging in the sand right next to the water. The neighbors were super friendly and the area was extremely quiet. We would go out to the lake in the morning and all you can hear are the birds chirping. My son is afraid of boats so we did not take advantage of the offer for a boat tour of the lake but I wish we could have. I'm sure it would have been so much fun! Other than enjoying the gorgeous view, swimming, and kayaking at the house, we hit up David Farmland (30 min), the Mt Wachussett summit

A Must Stay!!

I can’t say enough about this property. If you love outdoors, hiking, water activity in a serene and wooded environment, this is for you. My main intent was to hike Mt Wachusett. It offered so many different trails I must return to hike more. Its visitor center was extremely helpful. The house itself is tucked at the end of a dead end street so very private. The view of the lake spectacular. The house has lots of glass so you can see this view from the master bedroom, kitchen and living room. The house decor is contemporary and stylish. A tv in every room and sound system to play your favorite music all around the house. Joe gives you access to all his accounts for free including Apple Music, prime, Netflix etc. He is very generous and caring. The house is private and you feel very safe in a wooded neighborhood with great walking options and neighbors that make you feel incredibly welcome. The patio has amenities of a kitchen and a seating area with a fire pit. Separate access to the downstairs bedroom was perfect for family members and the patio is enclosed so my dogs could rome around securely. Cup of coffee in the morning on that beautiful patio while looking at a serene lake view was truly a moment. Joe was available to me for a few questions about tv operations. He offers a boat ride on the lake. The property has a dock and you can walk to the end and sit on two chairs that are placed so it seems you are sitting over the lake water. Best VRBO experience ever!!

Mountain lake retreat just over an hour from boston

This house was perferct for our family we had a great time hanging out on the patio, fishing, lounging on the private beach and exploring the lake. The house had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and fun. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby so you can spend less time in the car and more time enjoying the lake. Where the house is located is probably one of the best spots on the lake very private and the neighbors near by were very friendly. Joe the owner was an excellent host he was quick to respond with any questions and left detailed info on the area and about the house. Would definitely go back!

A very relaxing and beautiful get-away!

The cottage is truly beautiful and the views from it are, as others have said - amazing! The owner is very friendly, responsive and accommodating. All you need to bring is your food and clothes - or eat out! The town is small and quiet, so this is a great place to go for privacy and relaxation.

The perfect spot.

This was my first time renting this way and it was a great experience. Rented it for my parents for a week so they'd be close to their grandkids and they were extremely pleased with everything. The property exceeded my expectations. It was wonderfully quiet, located at the end of a private road and in a less busy are of the lake. Great views of the mountain and lake from the house. Outdoor patio was great for entertaining or just relaxing. There are plenty of places to hike and bike in the are but this place was so nice you almost don't want to leave. Owner was easy to deal with and very helpful.

I wanted get out from big city and have a quiet long weekend with my kids. I was looking for property near some water and I found this one. It looked good on site’s pictures, but the reality was above the expectations. It was not far from Boston, just one hours drive and we were near the lake, next to the mountain and forest! The house was in dead end. Nobody bothered us. House was clean and newly renovated. But most of all I liked the layout of the house. I have three sons and the eldest took a bedroom on the ground floor. This bedroom is like a separate small apartment with its own separate entrance from the street with panoramic windows to the lake. My son is 16 years old and he was happy to be alone in this room. I and my two other sons stay on the top floor. Even though house looked small at first it had enough rooms for us and if we have a bigger company we will fit in this house. The owner of the house, Joseph, was always in touch, immediately replied to the message. Joseph offered us a ride on his catamaran on the lake, my youngest son even ran a catamaran and still remembers it as an adventure. And we also fished, kayaked, swam in the lake. We grilled and spend evening time on a patio. In short, it was thousands pleasures and I am really glad that I found this place.

Beautiful House with Amazing Views!

The house was extremely clean, very comfortable, and the host is very accomidating. He goes above and beyond to ensure me and my family are happy. He also took us on a sunset boat tour of the lake! All in all, I highly recommend staying at the "Cottage"!
