We appreciated the well equipped cottage. It had literally everything you could want or need. We also appreciated how clean it was.Unfortunately the check-in was not as we expected and we had to engage the neighbour to assist by calling the owner for the lockbox code. We later found out that the owners’ dog had died the day before our arrival.The views of the water and morning sunrises from the deck and inside the cottage are amazing. The weather was perfect everyday. The “beach” is extremely rocky and thus the water was not accessible to go for a swim. We enjoyed the chairs near the water.The location is between the towns of Chester and Mahone Bay. We travelled extensively to many places including Cape Breton (Cabot Trail). You do need to have a vehicle to go anywhere. The area is not safe for walking alongside the busy highway with little room from the vehicles speeding by until you reach a small wild rose park. I was nervous walking that route on a daily basis with my little dog. If you’re not into walking then there’s no issue.
