Dream Ridge Lodge - Spacious, Private and Centrally Located

Welcome to the newest Lodge in the Barr Top Rentals Fleet. We acquired this wonderful location in early August 2022 and it has quickly become a favorite of our many guests since we opened.

This might be the best location for a vacation rental in the entire PA Elk Range. Less than 1 mile from Cross Scenic Overlook, 3.2 mile from Palumbo Lodge, 4 miles from Medix Run and 5 Miles from the Winslow Hill Elk Visitors Center. The lodge is situated on 9 acres, is very private and has a huge yard to enjoy. There are very few places in this remote region where you can be this close to all the main attraction and just 20 minutes from Saint Mary's (In case you forgot anything or just want a different option for dining out). Another benefit to the location is its accessibility year round. The cabin is accessed from a freshly paved and well maintained township road that also welcomes ATV riding.

We provide everything we can think of for your stay. From a fully furnished kitchen to bed linens and bath towels, we try to make your travels as easy as possible. Enjoy the spacious property and giant front and back yard. Bring the baseball gloves, frisbee or whatever you enjoy outdoors. Grill on the deck (we provide the propane) or over a fire in the back yard fire pit. (Sorry, we do not provide firewood).

Cozy up in front of the wood pellet fireplace in the winter months. Wood Pellets for heating can be purchased just about anywhere.

If you have to work while you're on vacation you're in luck. Unlike many places in the elk range, we have access to and provide free unlimited high speed internet. In Fact, we were recently upgraded to Fiber so we have amazing speed for all of your streaming, gaming or remote work needs.

We can accommodate up to 8 guests and have 4 bedrooms so everyone can have their privacy. We look forward to having you as a guest.

Such a cute spot, with good location to benezette out of the hustle and bustle, but not too far. The house in cleanly upon arrival and communication was prompt when needed. Nice back and front yard with lots of space for activities. Been staying here for several years and enjoy it every time.

We stayed during our wedding weekend & were so happy to have such a beautiful place to spend it. Family was able to enjoy a picnic after the wedding. The morning of the wedding 3 bull elk visited our yard, making it all the mote special! Cabin is amazing with a spacious yard, & plenty of wildlife. We plan to rent the cabin again in the future. It’s the fourth one we’ve rented & the best one!

Perfect Place to get Ready

We came up for a wedding at the Elk County Visitor Center. My daughter was the maid of honor so she, the bride and the bridal party all got ready at the house and took a beautiful father's first look in the back yard, The beds were very comfortable and welcome as we had just returned from Greece (an 11 hour plane ride).It is a lovely get sway spot and it was delightful to see three deer in the back yard in the morning after the wedding.

My husband and I have stayed here several times in the past. The property is wonderful and very convenient. We were thrilled to see a brand new grill on the back deck but disappointed to see the blinds in the main bedroom were in shambles. The most frustrating part wash the hot water smelled like sulfur! Yikes it was bad!!But despite all this I still love staying here. I just home these two things are addressed.PS. We did see a huge bull elk in the grassy property next to this one!

Great Stay near Benezette

This was our first stay in the area and we were very happy with the property. We wanted a place that was private, but also was in a great location for visiting the sights in Elk County. The property met all our needs! It was private but within a short drive to several state parks and the towns of Benezette and St. Marys. The house itself was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Even though we did some sightseeing, we also enjoyed sitting on the deck in the afternoon and evening. Best of all - dogs are allowed - we don’t go anywhere without our dog and appreciate properties that allow them. I’d recommend the place to anyone!

Fantastic Stay

Great location, saw numerous elk driving around. The house has a big beautiful back yard, beds are comfortable, and had everything we needed. Corn hole was a bonus. Highly recommend! We will definitely want to come back.

Sibling weekend 2025

This was a long weekend away for my sister, brother and their spouses. This cabin was exactly as described in a wonderful location. We saw many elk in various locations, enjoyed a great fire one evening, saw many many stars on a perfectly clear night and enjoyed being together, handing out, playing games anjust being thankful that we all enoy each other as much as we do!The wi-fi is excellend at this location - and that cannot be said for much of our travel time on remote PA roads. The place is really very nice and exactly as pictured.
