«We had a wonderful stay at Strawhouse Resort. The property is beautiful, with the cafe and patio along the river. Good pizza and coffee roasted on site. Amazing hospitality from Don, Julia and all the Strawhouse team. We stayed in the yurt. What a fun experience. It was cozy and well appointed. This area along the Trinity River is so beautiful. »

«It was a wonderful getaway, the house is beautiful and so spacious. The location is wonderful and we really enjoyed our time. The house shows a bit of wear and tear from previous renters, but I will definitely be staying again. The caretakers were communicative and made themselves available for us while we were there. We had a great time!»

«The start was little off for us when Google maps directions threw us off (don’t take the OLD Poker Barn road) and ATT cell reception was spotty , but fortunately connected with Bryan and got in without any more fuss. House was perfectly located in front of the river, all amenities available, very peaceful and our pets had the most fun as well. We got some great family time bonding…. Checked out local historic landmarks, old towns etc… overall great trip and wonderful place…..»

«On arrival the code for the door did not work the host was not available by phone. The house was cold upon entering and it took hours to heat up. 2 of the remotes for the mini splits had dead batteries and did not work. The (bed) in the guest room was a box spring with a mattress topper on it. The bed in the master was old and had a large sunken spot in the middle making it very uncomfortable. There was dog poop in the yard around the fruit trees. Overall we did not have a good stay.»

«We had a great time relaxing in this home. It was very clean, the beds are beyond comfortable! Kitchen is so well stocked with cooking supplies! Walking to the river and fishing in the morning and evening was so nice and fun for the kids. When finding the house look at the street signs not your phone, it’s easy! Adorable Weaverville is just minutes away for ice cream and dinner.»

«Nice property with plenty of parking. Especially for boats if your in the area to enjoy fishing Lake Trinity. Only about 25 minutes from the lake. Private and secure. The cabin has everything you need. The host was awesome and ready to help with anything you might need. Will definitely be back.»

«Loved this property!!! Was a little scary driving down the road at night but once we found the property it was very nice and peaceful! There is a cute town 20 minutes away so not too remote but still away from too many people which was really nice!!! Property was also very clean and communication with host was fast and easy 😁»
