Peaceful, Private 2 Bedroom Apt - Hot Tub, Mtn views -11 mi to Asheville

We invite you to get away from the hustle and bustle and unwind in our ‘Little Piece of Heaven’ surrounded by acres of woods, fields, lawns, gardens, pond & mountain views.

Private driveway/parking to lower level of home with private 2 bdrm, full bath apt - 2 queen bedrooms with keyed entrances, TV’s in each room, den with desk and futon (full-sleeps 1). (This is the only area that host has personal affects as this is a semi shared space. Host may access the hall to the den when guests are 'out n about' to use the laundry room).

Kitchenette provides mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric fry pan, toaster, coffee pot, coffee, tea, creamer, starter breakfast, oatmeal packets & snacks, mugs, dishes, cutlery, glasses (beverage and wine). there is an add'l mini fridge in Blue Rm closet for over flow convenience.

Laundry/utility room is available to wash dishes and do laundry if needed.

The patio is a beautiful peaceful place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and soak in the mountain air in the hot tub. Deer come to side yard to feed at dusk. It is weather protected with hammock, table/chairs, cushioned chairs, Weber grill, fire pit and outdoor lighting. Side yard has a "chipping golf range" (wedges and limited balls provided).

We also have an Australian Shepherd-Callie. She is very friendly but does like to do her job by 'herding' visitors at times. A firm NO will send her scurrying, but please be sure to let us know if she is bothering you. She spends most of her time with us in our home upstairs. You also may be visited by one or more of our chickens. They are free range during the day and like to come and visit periodically.

*We do allow 1 dog, 25 lbs or under, must be crated when not supervised and we ask that they not be permitted to be in or on beds/furniture.

Our home is an easy 20 min. to downtown Asheville, skiing at Wolf Laurel is 14 mi and 10 min to Weaverville with galleries, shops, bakery and restaurants. Also our area provides abundance of outdoor activities: beautiful hiking trails with water falls, views, rafting, zip lining to name a few.

*We have been listed on another platform for 7 years and have a solid 5 star rating and have also been Super Hosts since the beginning months of operation.

Husregler

Keep all doors and windows closed in order to keep rooms climate controlled & outside pests from coming into Suite.
Pet is not permitted on/in bed, crated at night and when unsupervised and must be leashed when outside as we have 4 free roaming chickens and a dog.
Any cooking that creates smoke or extreme heat must be done outside on patio and not in the Suite as there is no exhaust system. Clean grill after use

Amazing New Year trip! Nice and clean property. The location was convenient to Asheville and the area. Mountain View. Great hosts, Hilary and Dan were amazing hosts, friendly, responsive, helpful, welcoming (homemade bread and champagne) for New Year. We couldn't be more thankful. The property is pet- friendly. Very friendly and informative host. Dan even took our two grandkids for a tour of the property on his 4 wheeler. Very comfortable bedrooms and living room. A TV in each space. The patio was the best part with a wonderful view. The kitchenette was limited but we only warmed up food and coffee so it was ok. It felt like we were in a mountain retreat.

Hilary and Dan were incredibly gracious hosts and really made my stay top-notch. They both went out of their way to provide one-of-a-kind hospitality, from Hilary's initial introduction and home-baked banana bread to Dan waking up early and clearing the snow off of our cars! This stay is on an absolutely breathtaking property with two of the best hosts I have ever had. I could not recommend this highly enough!

Just like the photos, this home was just as expected it would be and more! Beautiful, quiet, peaceful and even spiritual. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished, clean and with all the comforts of home. Plenty of space for my husband and I and even our son and his wife who live in Weaverville to stay a couple nights with us in the second bedroom. You will love waking up to the large private patio we enjoyed each morning with our coffee. We also LOVED the jacuzzi with breathtaking views of their farm and gardens. We even had deer show up the first morning - a real treat! Hilary and Dan are wonderful hosts and if asked are a wealth of information from places to eat and best hikes to take! It's true that Hilary's banana bread upon arrival is some of the best I've had! We will definitely be back to our "home away from home" we call it. We are usually Marriott people, but I'm so glad we ventured off the beaten path and booked this county gem... you will too!

Truly amazing place to stay

I can’t enough wonderful things about our stay here. Hilary and Dan are just amazing hosts. They have thought of every single comfort and the property is just breath taking. Home Away From Home

What a gift it was to have this "Little Piece of Heaven" as our home base while we explored western North Carolina! The living space was exceptional, with comfy beds, beautiful decor, and a well-stocked kitchenette and bathroom with all the amenities you'd need on vacation. The outstanding features continued outdoors as well, with a beautiful yard and patio to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery of this area. The physical property was truly extraordinary, only to be surpassed by the hosts themselves! They were so warm and welcoming, available for as much interaction as we desired as guests. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay there longer! It was truly a home away from home --- one that we would LOVE to return to!

A little piece of heaven

Words cannot say what I want to say. Everything about this experience was wonderful. From the moment we booked to the moment we left, everything was perfection. Hillary was in constant communication. She kept us aware of the hurricane damage and process. Thankfully, nothing of theirs was in the path of the hurricane. She greeted us in person at the door and gave us a personal tour of the property. She had our names on a welcome board, she baked a banana bread, and went above and beyond for everything we needed. The property was peaceful and clean. The hot tub and the fire pit or a wonderful touch. I would absolutely recommend this property and these hosts. If I ever get the chance to come back, I will absolutely book with them again.

Our experience from the time we found this beautiful place on VRBO until the day we checked out was pitch PERFECT! Jan goes above and beyond what a typical Host should do - from greeting us when we checked in to making a fire for us to S’mores and snacks, coffee tea and leaving an evening light on for us. Like an adventure in heaven!

The property was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything about this rental exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail and the thoughtful gestures made our experience truly unforgettable. The communication with the host was exceptional. They were prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly, making us feel valued and well taken care of even before our arrival. Upon entering the property, we were blown away by the location, beautiful countryside, and the home itself. It was evident that the hosts put a great deal of effort into maintaining the home and property. The pictures do not give justice to how beautiful the view actually is in real time. I cannot think of one negative thing about my 10 days there. The hosts, Hilary and Dan went above and beyond for our needs. There are so many perks but you must find out what they are on your own. Thank you for making my stay there just that much better. The location is close to everything I wanted to experience. So many waterfalls, great hiking, the River Arts District, amazing restaurants. The home itself was comfortable, clean, and inviting. The beds are super comfy with very nice linens. The patio is basically where we spent most of our time which if you stay there, you'll know exactly why. So many thoughtful details to actually list. Again, thank you for everything. Believe me, I never wanted to leave! I will be return, that's a promise.

A providential breath of peace

This property was perfectly placed nearby all our planned activities while having all the amenities, relaxation, and views to trump any nearby hotel or lodge. Our hosts went the second mile for us, and they were tremendously hospitable and pleasant to interact with while we got to enjoy their wonderful outdoor porch, garden, and fire pit. We were blessed with peace during our stay, and we would stay here again.

Charming and Cozy

There were loads of space and amenities, including TVs in both rooms, a "family room" (it's private), a kitchenette with a coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, hot plate, and table-top grill. The host provided a variety of snacks, coffe, tea, bottled water and a delicious, homemade loaf of carrot cake. Thanks Hilary! They even provided all the makings for s'mores!! You won't get that level of hospitality in any hotel! Hilary and Dan couldn't have been more accomodating.They checked in frequently to see if we needed anything, including our last-minute request for a bonfire. Thanks Dan! The beds were very comfortable with soft sheets and lots of pillows. The bathroom was well stocked with soaps, lotions...even q-tips and cotton balls. Each room had a beautiful, scenic view and sliding doors opening onto a private patio. The only disappointment was in having to say goodbye. But well be back soon because it's our new favorite place to visit!
