Panoramic Mountain Views!-Fenced Yard-Hot Tub-10 Minutes to Downtown Asheville

Jaw dropping views from this custom built home with 28' high cathedral style ceilings and huge windows looking out on an incredible vista of valley and mountains. Located in convenient N. Asheville/Woodfin area, this property is minutes away from multiple dining and shopping choices and only 10 minutes away from downtown AVL proper and 1 mile off exit 23 on Interstate 26. Blue Vista is situated in a peaceful, well-established community with incredible views and lots of trees providing privacy between the houses which are spaced generously apart from one another. Perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy all the entertainment Asheville has to offer as well as peace, relaxation and inspiring mountain views. Tony and I live 15 minutes north so we are always available to address any questions or issues that may come up.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOUSE FOR A BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTY. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE AND WE CANNOT HOST GUESTS WITH A SIMILAR TYPE OF CELEBRATION PLANNED.

The large deck goes along the entire back of the house and features incredible valley and long range-mountain views. Two covered patios, one with a 4 person hot tub spa that is situated on the deck for maximum viewing pleasure. A screened in porch is on the other side of the deck and allows amazing views while providing protection from rain. The well-equipped kitchen with a center island has all the large stainless steel modern appliances: dishwasher, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee makers (a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker) and basic spices. This custom designed home has two beautifully decorated bedrooms on the main floor, both with king sized beds, attached bathrooms and direct access to the outside deck. These bedrooms have vintage reclaimed wood walls (from a generations old barn in Tennessee!) Smart TVs, dressers and large closets. The loft bedroom also has a king sized bed, Smart TV and bathroom and if you leave the barn door open, you will awake to the most amazing view of the mountains you can ever hope to see. Some well appointed touches include ceiling fans in all living/sleeping areas, only 100% cotton bed and bath linens, comfy leather furniture to relax on and a 65" great room Smart flat screen with streaming TV and Netflix. The dining table seats eight comfortably and looks out over the incredible mountain vista. The gas fireplace in the great room provides additional warmth for those chilly nights and the home has central A/C for those balmy mountain evenings. Gas grill, all weather resin dining table/chairs for outside dining and lots of comfortable deck furniture from which to soak in the incredible view. Dog friendly (please, no cats), you can bring your pups -up to two for a $75 dog fee. For those who can’t leave the tech world behind, Blue Vista has reliable WiFi and cell phone service here is reliable. All of our properties are dog friendly and have fenced in, secure yards for your pups!

Lively, downtown Asheville is 10 minutes away and has an abundance of shops and Art Galleries and its restaurants are world famous. Nearby Merrimon Avenue has multiple restaurants and shops within 5 minutes of the house. Hiking, rafting and zip lining is in all directions.

The road to the Blue Vista (including the driveway) is mostly paved with the exception of .4 mile section which is gravel and road bonded. This section can get a little bumpy especially after a big rain storm. The upper .4 mile section which is paved all the way to the house, is somewhat steep and is a single lane road. There are pull off sections every 100 feet or so, and not many houses above us on this road, but you may rarely meet another car which will require pulling off to the side. 4 wheel drive is not necessary unless it’s during one of our infrequent snow storms.

We had a fantastic experience at Blue Vista! We didn't want to go anywhere or do anything except enjoy the house. The host checked in with us to make sure everything was OK. Everything was pretty close by and the views were spectacular.

This was a wonderful property! Too many considerate details to mention them all but I will say how much we enjoyed the deck, the screened in porch, fireplace and the views!!! The dog run was a special feature that not a lot of mountain properties have. The hosts were great at communicating everything you need to know- most definitely use their turn by turn directions once you turn off the main road and go up the mountain. The drive up is exactly as described and even I was fine- just take it slow if you need to. This is a beautiful home and we hope to return one day!

Six childhood friends gathered for 65th bdays and enjoyed a week of what all Asheville offered..... restaurants, shopping, hiking & spa day at Hand&Stone, all which were close to home. The house is very comfortable with a lived in vibe. Bedroom King beds were a plus, nice tiled bathrooms, closet space except upstairs. I will give view 5 stars because our weather was spectacular and the mountains were a highlight each AM/PM Owners were very responsive and concerned about our comfort. Thanks from the FFX Fillies

Beautiful Views/Property

Gorgeous VRBO - views were stunning and the property was well maintained. It was obvious that the owners were very thoughtful in their design of the home and what they chose to include inside of it. Great location as well - close proximity to downtown. I will say that if you’re not from the area and not used to driving in the mountains, the road leading to the home can be somewhat nerve wrecking to drive. However, the host did provide clear instructions on this and does explain that the road is steep. House was well stocked with items. Really, the interior and exterior of the home were beautiful. The only negative we experienced was an abundance of stink bugs. We had to rush in and out of doors whenever leaving because they would come inside the house. I would say we had to kill at least 10 stink bugs that continued to make their way inside of the home. The outside deck was also difficult to enjoy at times due to the number of stink bugs outside. Maybe they’re just really bad at this time of year. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. This was definitely the best VRBO we have stayed at and I would happily book here again!

A DELIGHTFUL VACATION

A beautiful home with a spectacular view. Close to downtown, Biltmore and a lovely array of shops, restaurants and many picturesque sights and exciting activities! The yard is an extra bonus that is very much appreciated by myself and the pups! We had a little problem and the owners responded immediately and solved the problem asap! Local food delivery and Uber as well! In terms of expectations and reality they completely met all expectations! Enjoy! ☺️

Take me back…

We had an incredible two week stay at the mountain house. The property is amazing and the view is breathtaking. We enjoyed watching the deer, bunnies and wild turkeys who came to visit almost daily. Our hosts were so responsive and kind, and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The house is also incredibly dog friendly, so our golden retriever felt right at home. The area a mile or so from the house has everything you can possibly need. We cant wait to come back next year!

This was one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in. The view was absolutely stunning and the home had everything we needed and more. We can’t wait to come back! Great restaurants nearby also in Weaverville. Highly recommend Stoney Knob and Vinnie’s as well as the Salt Faced Mule brewery

Wonderful stay!

The house exceeded our expectations! Beautiful views, and everything you could need in the kitchen. The entire house was very well appointed - we did not want to leave! We brought our dogs, and the fenced in yard and gated balconies were so convenient in letting them enjoy the vacation as well. Asheville, parks and hiking trails are all a very close drive. We hope to visit again!

Spectacular View

This was a Christmas gift for our son and his family. We found everything perfect for our stay. We brought their two family dogs and even the fenced in area was so convenient for letting them out from the deck. The view and the hot tub were enjoyed by the family. We also found the privacy very nice yet we were close to all that Ashville has to offer. We highly recommended this property.

What a view!

We stayed for a week over school vacation. We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs, and this one was the best. It was stocked with things you'd find in a actual house (REAL mugs and glassware, toiletries, plenty of pans, plenty of towels, plenty of silverware....even a welcome bottle of wine!). The view was lovely from the hot tub after a long hike. The only slightly tricky thing was getting in the driveway with our big SUV, but it wasn't bad after a time or 2.

Beautiful Retreat

Owner provided great communication from booking all the way through the end. The home was beautiful. Clean, spacious, and inviting. The views from the living room and deck are amazing. There is ample room for a family or several couples to spread out. The house is secluded, just what we wanted. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Absolutely beautiful…

This beautiful home was the most amazing place to spend Christmas with our family of 5 Adults! The views are spectacular and the house has everything. Birgit has thought of everything!! The cozy room off the master bedroom had the perfect views to watch the sunset , along with a tile chess and checkers board, fire pit and comfortable seats. The view of the mountains from the living room is breathtaking. The feeling of the house is peace. We never wanted to leave. The kitchen was perfectly stocked for us cooking a Christmas feast.Sitting in the hot tub while the rain fell, listening to the wind blow through the trees was something that cannot be explained in words. You just have to experience it!!

Absolutely Perfect!

Fantastic stay! We had our family here for thanksgiving ages 8-78! I prepared the whole meal, kitchen was stocked nicely. Comfy King beds. Fabulous view. Fabulous clean hot tub. Overall lovely! And only a 10 minute drive to town with many many options for food nearby. Owners readily available for any questions.
