First off, this property is beautiful and has a prime spot on the river. The property is ideal for a wedding or large event. So this is definitely a great spot for that! We stayed there for a family get away for 3 nights and felt it needed a bit more luxury for the price. The main bedrooms had things in all the drawers/closets so basically no one unpacked. There is a wonderful river spot on the property but it needs outdoor furniture, picnic area, and gravel (besides dirt). Also, there is a large area in the middle of the property that needs outdoor eating areas with shade (or) overall nice outdoor furniture around property for social gathering. The main kitchen in the Great Room needs a deep cleaning (inside all the drawers and all the dishes) and new appliances are much needed.. Specifically, needs two dishwashers (comment above about clean dishes), a commercial ice maker and new oven. There is a wonderful new commercial kitchen but I believe that is an extra cost and not near the Great Room where you eat and hang out. The property manager Melinda was very helpful and Justin went out of his way to help out. I will add that Melinda suggested the use of a chef, Regan Johnson, who is not only an amazing chef but was a delight to work with. Food was 10 stars and made the stay much more enjoyable. My suggestion to the owner would be to work on a different price structure. The add on's in price, " if you use this or use that", was a bit negative and gives off a vibe that doesn't go with the overall special feeling of the ranch. My other suggestion would be to KEEP the charm of the original ranch and don't add things like event lighting/colored lights. Overall, I look forward to returning one day as I heard a pool will be added in the future. The overall town of Mineral Wells was adorable and obviously going to be a big hit when the new hotel opens. I also have to admit I went crazy for the CRAZY WATER.
