First time

We really enjoyed our stay, however, super host Jared was very short with me. For the amount of money we spent, I felt I couldn’t ask many questions. This was the first VRBO that we ever did. We are seniors trying to figure it all out and we were very uncomfortable with the host. But we had a wonderful stay!

Generally it was a nice stay except for several key issues:1) The gras had not been mowed for at least several weeks and was nearly a foot or more tall leading to significant bug problem. Makes it real difficult to sit out by a campfire !!!2) The upstairs fire /smoke alarm was beeping as soon as we walked in the door. I contacted the property manager about it and he suggested I take care of it myself. Kind of hard when it's 12 feet in the air and I don't have a ladder available cause I'm on vacation is someone other persons cabin. They did send someone to fix it, but their solution was to just remove it and replace it later since a new battery didn't help.3) Cabin seemed really clean when we got there, but later found out there was a serious ant infestation. Without even having open food on the counter, we left for a few hours and came back to the kitchen counter crawling with ants.

Reservation cancelled

Was emailed on 8/4 that reservation was cancelled due to a frozen A/C that caused a ceiling collapse. We arranged other accommodations at same resort and investigated “collapsed ceiling” at the cabin and found other people still staying in the cabin we had originally reserved. Unsure if cabin was double booked or what but VRBO host was dishonest about the frozen A/C resulting in the unavailability of the cabin.

Faulty description

Dirty! We paid a lot of money to stay somewhere clean, and it wasn’t at all. Pictures are deceiving!! There are not three parking spots, only two. Never received any communication from owner until I sent message out to him! We had to bring our own laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, garbage bags, and paper towel. Also, there are limited amounts of towels, so I was constantly washing towels for showers. So disappointed!!
