The lounge is cosy and stylish and flows out on to a covered patio with seating for 4 people, a shared lawn, garden and mountain views.
There are 2 bedrooms. 1 bedroom has a King bed, the other 2 King single beds. Each bed has a gorgeous solid oak bed frame, duck down + goose down duvets, premium linen, and Serenity mattresses (with Active Sense pocket springs to minimise partner disturbance, and Dreamfoam for unrivalled comfort). Each room has cupboard storage. The bathroom is well appointed with an excellent shower, vanity, heated towel rail, underfloor heating and wall mounted heater.
There is a laundry with washing machine + dryer located in the garage.
The open plan kitchen has a gas hob and an oven, a fridge and microwave, toaster and kettle, and pots, pans and utensils.
A Goldair 2.4kw radiator heater in the lounge provides ample heat for the whole house. Individual heaters and retro blue fans are provided in rooms for further heating and cooling.
Guests have the full use of this space including a garage with internal access to the house.
Guests are also able to access Alpine Resort Wānaka's facilities on the same grounds - 2 x spa pools, 2 x swimming pools (heated in summer months, can be used as a cold plunge pool in winter months), a tennis court (equipment can be borrowed from the resort), 2 x gyms with weight machines, free weights and stationary bike, sauna, pool table, table tennis, table football. Bikes are available to rent from reception.
Contact us via the Airbnb message app. We don't live in Wānaka, however Lucy who co-hosts lives locally. Lucy organises the cleaning and can sometimes assist if you have an unexpected issue with the property.
A short 20min walk to town centre, there are cafes, coffee, antique shops and more on route. Right across the street is a lovely walking and mountain biking path with views across Lake Wanaka and the town itself. This is a gorgeous and safe neighbourhood with a host of activities close by.
The unit has a one car garage (for mid-sized vehicles) and one free off-street carpark right beside. Streets are safe and easy to walk or cycle.

The artwork in the lounge is by Hana Carpenter (a graduate of Elam and a Wallace awards finalist; her works represent ambiguous organic structures and the vulnerability she felt while in hospital with her son). Macrame hangings by @hannadecore2020.
