We had a fantastic vacation here over the christmas holidays and the condo was a perfect size for 5 of us. Two bedroom, two bathrooms are hard to find and the bedrooms and bathrooms were bigger than I expected. The kitchen was brimming with every gadget under the sun and there were beach towels and even beach gear for snorkeling. As described the beach is about a 10 minute walk down the road but you can access the ocean via stairs along the beach wall on the condo yard. Wear very sturdy shoes as coral is very sharp. The snorkeling was great and we did not have to go anywhere else to swim with turtles as they were all along the water front. The village is relatively quiet which we loved, with a coffee shop as well as restaurants and souvenir shops by the aquarium. Both Kihei and Kahului are only 20 minute drives away for groceries. I much preferred this area compared to the craziness of Kannapali. Internet was not always reliable; adults did not care but for some reason even though in Hawaii, internet was important to the teenagers. The only con I can think of is that the laundry and garbage outlets are located way at the very other end of the building, but the washers and dryers used credit card which for me was so convenient, never having change. The whales came early to Maui in December 2017, and every day we would scan the horizon to see one. During our last 3 days we were able to see them spouting water where the water meets the shores of the island of Molokai and finally on our very last full day we saw a couple put on a show and breech near the Molokini crater. You didn't need binoculars but how I wish i had brought some with me. I can't think of anything we needed that the condo did not have. For us it was perfect.
