Great location, very nice condo. The beds were comfortable and the indoor and outdoor seating was plentiful. Kitchen was well stocked. Minor issues, just need to fix the sink stopper in the master bathroom and get rid of the shade behind the kitchen garbage, it’s pretty gross. All told, it made for a great stay!

Nice condo and location

We stayed at Shores 1 1/2 year ago and enjoyed the quiet and location. Well appointed condo plus stuff for the beach. Nice large wrap around lanai. Only complaint, and it seems to be a common theme with others, is that the master bath sink and toilet are in need of repairs. Toilet will run continuously unless you pull up the handle (flapper and handle need to be replaced), one of the valves in the sink drips continuously and the stopper does not move.

Shores stay - Canyon tower

Property & location were great. Condo well furnished. Only complaints were maintenance related. Ripping up tile on 2nd floor made for extremely noisy 1 week. Water shutoff for 4 hours inconvenient. Front door lock broke on 2nd day, sink dripped water & toilet needed repair. Just frustrating from the maintenance standpoint.

Great family stay

Great spot. Love this area for its proximity to snorkeling, shopping and all things vacation. This is a very nice condo. All the appliances worked well and I loved the master shower- it’s huge.

Excellent Location!

The Shores in Waikola is a perfect location for all things Hawaii! The pool and spa were gorgeous, tennis courts were close, the gym was great, shopping and restaurants close and sunsets at the beach are only a 10 minute stoll. Hapuna Beach is also only 10 minutes away.

Relaxing stay Mahalo!

We loved the pool and hot tub. Spacious condo with a lovely porch. Enjoying using the beach chairs and umbrella. Left some boogie boards for the next guest. Mahalo! Can’t wait to return again. 🌺

Location and Comfort

Our family of 4 adults enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Our condo was clean, comfortable, and had extra towels, beach chairs, ice chests, and a large beach umbrella available for use. The location was close to our favorite beaches and had plenty of shops within walking distance.

Was good

Over all it was nice the only thing was the masterbedroom toilet did not work along with the coffee pot not working. Had to call and they came out and fixed the toilet only. But over all the place was nice and well equiped.

Great location, Deep clean needed.

The gated community and pool amenities were added bonuses to this condo. The furniture is a bit outdated but comfortable. The beds were clean and comfy. Outdoor patio was lovely for sunrise and sunset. The only negative about this space was the cleanliness. The sofa and extra linens had a strong sweat/odor to them; we had to air out the entire living room. The kitchen cabinets are rickety and the appliances are beyond repair, someone left their old coffee in the machine, yuck. The cups, mugs, utensils, pans, plates were all filthy; I had to rewash everything before using. There was this yellowish substance splattered over the range. If you plan to stay here, you've gotta bring salt and pepper, oil, and other spices. They only gave us one set of towels per person but at least laundry detergent was given to rewash them. If you plan on grilling, you have to walk outside your unit to one of the grilling locations onsite; these locations are not depicted on any map, which is unfortunate and may be hard to find for some. And the big tub has water damage inside and is currently flaking off enamel. But overall, we slept great and had a good time. I would still stay here again, especially with the knowledge I have now of this place.

Spacious Condo with Comfortable Beds

It was a quiet comfortable condo in a nice location. It had easy access from the shady parking spot to the elevator and onto the unit. The 3rd floor condo had cooling breezes and ceiling fans that were so nice, we didn't need the air conditioning. We preferred just having open windows. The lanai is huge and was a great spot to watch the sun go down. The location made it easy to explore Hawi, Kona, Captain Cook and even Hilo. It's very spacious. The sheets, bedding and pillows were clean and comfortable which I really appreciate. The main bathroom, however, needs work. The drain is really slow so you end up having to shut the water off mid shower or ankle deep by the time you get out. It's a really big tub too so it's surprising it fills up so quickly while showering. The tub is stained and it takes up a lot of the bathroom. The kitchen trashcan and blind were both dirty which was off putting. We tried to visit the pool twice but could not gain access either time. We later found out that the code had been changed 2 months prior but the information hadn't been updated in the unit. We didn't get a chance to go back after getting the code, so I cannot comment on the pool except that it looked like the picture. Also, I couldn't get the 2nd bedroom TV to work. I never tied the other two. In spite of these issues. I would stay here again. My family can survive with one shower and for me, the good outweighed the bad.

Rental had everything we needed except extra bath towels. Emailed and called with a towel request but no reply. Otherwise the condo had beach umbrella, chairs, coolers, boogie boards and beach towels. There was nothing lacking in the kitchen.

Great unit and location!

We loved our trip, including the rental that we were at. Most 3rd floor condos we have stayed at on the Big Island don't have elevators and this one did! So we didn't have to lug baggage up flights of stairs. The unit was spacious for our family of 4. We'll be back!

Super comfortable

We really enjoyed out stay at this property. Super spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen is amazingly well stocked. Good location to reach Waimea, Hapuna beach (amazing white sand beach) and convenient to the airport and all the attractions at Kona.

The condo was dirty on arrival and it took until 11:30 PM for it to get resolved and that process was not pleasant! We basically lost our entire first afternoon/evening. The pool was not available and that took an additional 2 days to get passes to the one next door. The last two days the elevator was out of service (carried all luggage down three flights of stairs to leave). Would not recommend this unit!
