With the ever changing requirements to short term rentals, we were lucky to find Vanessa's condo available!
While the pictures are a bit outdated, we found the place comfortable, welcoming and just where we wanted to be to be close to family.
We did have the same challenges when trying to register as several others mentioned. If you are arriving on a weekend or after 5p, I would suggest you double check with Vanessa that your paperwork was submitted to the secuirty post at the front gate. It all worked out, but after a long day of traveling and driving to the westside from the airport, it was another step we had to take before making the condo our home.
Makaha Towers hires amazing people, everyone showed true Aloha spirit throughout our visit. The grounds are very well cared for, the pool always welcoming and clean, and the BBQ area was perfect when we had a couple of family members over for steaks.
Be advised, the kitchen is lacking quite a few simple things- a set of pots and pans would have made this near perfect. I brought my own set of kitchen towels and a few pieces of housewares from the dollar store on the mainland that I left behind for the next guests.
The elevators were lightening fast, but to get to them there are stairs that you will need to navigate from the parking areas. (less if you can find a spot in the rear of the building, but a steep flight from the front parking area). I am not sure if the complex is ADA accessible, but, if you have limited mobility or old arthritic knees like we do, it could be challenging.
There was a slight communication mix up on check out time, but it all worked out in the end.
All in all it was a great stay, quiet and relaxing.
Thank you Vanessa
