  • The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas is a terrific zoo! The zoo has a great range of animals and exhibits and the grounds are well kept and spacious. There's lots of shade to keep you somewhat cool during those hot Texan summer months if you visit during that time frame. The animal enclosures are nice, and can really give you great views of the animals themselves if you are a bit patient. This also makes for great photo views, as shown here with this photo of an approaching jaguar. Food and snack prices are also very reasonable, as are prices for souvenirs. This zoo makes for a great day out for the family.

Another great stay. This is our go-to location in Waco. We had numerous locations for events in town and this house in convenient to all of them. Plenty of room for everyone and their stuff. Plenty of room in the kitchen. Excellent communication with our hosts. We’ll be back!

Old friend reunion

Waco was half way for all of us. We all are Texans but all different directions. It rained half the time we were there but we enjoyed watching and listening to itwhile we visited and played games and relaxed. We had a great time and we will back. Kill

More spacious than you would think

Because of the layout of the house, it felt more spacious than the square footage. Great place for a family. Enjoyed playing Uno around the kitchen table. Could use a mirror in the bedrooms, maybe on the back of the doors.

Girls trip

We had a great stay. The home was clean, comfortable and beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy looking, but we had no problems and it was quiet. A short drive to the Silos and every where we went.

Perfect Location for Us—Great Place to Stay

We had to drive back and forth between Grand Lodge and Lee Lockwood. This house was perfect for our group. Nice and clean, everything worked, and well-stocked. Quiet neighborhood. Easy to get to everything. Hope to be back next year!

Stay in Waco

Check in was super smooth and our hosts were great. Gotta be honest the neighborhood was sketchy. There was a fight in the streets on our second night there. It would have been nice to have a lock to put on the gate for the night. The house was beautiful and well kept. Great suggestions for things to do and places to eat

Wonderful Waco Stay!

In 2022 we reserved Franklin’s Waco Cozy Cottage for five days so that we could view the 2024 eclipse from Waco with 100% totality. We were worried from 2022 to 2024 that Franklin might cancel our stay so he could charge more money by rebooking the week, as happened to a friend of ours. Franklin was the most courteous host! When we needed to downsize our stay (again worried) from 5 nights to 3 nights, he was gracious about the change. He even got me on a conference phone call with VRBO so he could make sure the refund was processed correctly through VRBO. The Cozy Cottage is a dream home! The house was depicted correctly online, but it was even nicer and larger than we expected. The living room is super comfortable. It was nice to return to the Cozy Cottage to relax after a day exploring Waco. The home was put together with a decorator’s touch. Everything felt tranquil and well thought out. The beds and pillows are comfy and clean, as was the entire 3 bedroom home. What really appealed to us was the huge backyard. We had so much room for an eclipse viewing party for the four of us. The Cozy Cottage is perfectly located for exploring Waco. We were minutes from the Magnolia Market & the Silos, Magnolia Table, Pivovar (the biergarten is wonderful), Slow Rise on the Brazos restaurant and Moroso Italian. Do not hesitate to rent the Waco Cozy Cottage. Franklin & Gladys deserve the designation of Premier Hosts!

Thoroughly enjoyed our Cozy Shack stay. The location was 10 minutes to anywhere! The Silos, the Suspension Bridge, all were a short drive. The home was comfortable, we enjoyed the faux fireplace and sitting around the dining room table. The departure requests were easy and simple, strip the beds, put out the trash and run the dishwasher! The fridge will be totally empty so bring what you need. Some spices, pam etc in the pantry. There were plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. The bed in the third bedroom was close to floor, no boxspring, but was great for us in case the 2 year old rolled out! (she didn’t tho). TV in living room and one in the master bedroom. We would stay again. We had made a reservation weeks in advance for Magnolia Table. Enjoyed lunch at Union Hall, basically a food park. Shopped at H.E.B. for groceries. Enjoyed the local parks and the sculptures along the Brazos River. Have fun in Waco!

Baylor Move-In Was Great

My family stayed at this property while we moved my son into his freshman year at Baylor. It was perfect for our needs. It truly is cozy and the beds were super comfortable. The living room was great to hang out and watch tv as well. We loved the secure feeling of closing the gate at night. Property owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable & Roomy Stay

We stayed here while helping our daughter move. The house was very relaxing, from the comfortable beds to the extra long couch and chaise we could stretch out on at the end of a long day. Very clean and great communication from the owner!

Wonderful stay! Totally recommend

We were in town for the regional skating competition for our 6-year old daughter. Perfect location for us to drive to both rinks. Property was great - super clean and had everything our family of 5 needed. Rarely do my husband and I find a bed as comfortable as the one we have at home, but we were so pleasantly surprised! I'm always cold so was glad to find the many extra thick and soft blankets provided. We will definitely stay here again for next year's meet!

Exactly what we needed!

This was perfect for us. We had an Eastern Star event this weekend and needed a base of operations. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. What impressed all of us was how quiet it was inside the house. No street noise and we couldn’t hear each other, either. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to booking again.

Magnolia

Lots of laughs, fun & great things to see. We loved Di Campli, as they accommodated us through 2 tornado warnings! Great food, great service. Magnolia was fun & a good experience.
