Great location and fantastic property.

This property is in a very nice neighborhood. We loved the wicker furniture throughout the house. This house is definitely a place you can relax and unwind in. The beach was a short walk away and it wasn't very crowded. The shops and stores were close by and easy to get to. The property manager, Margie, was phenomenal. We were always able to get in touch with her when we needed assistance. The check in and checkout procedures were explained very well. We will definitely recommend this property to others and stay here in the future.

Beautiful condo close to the beach.

This condo is very clean and spacious. 4 nice size bedrooms with more than ample space. The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking utensils you would need. Short walk to the beach. We loved staying here and would most definitely book again. Highly recommended.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The house was large and well maintained. We were less than 200 ft to the beach access, which was wonderful. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach not crowded. The deck was spacious and had plenty of seating. Margie, the property manager, was great- available whenever we needed anything. Great idea place to vacation!

Great space in a great location

Loved being so close to the beach, restaurants and fun activities. The condo was a great fit for my family for four. The updated kitchen was lovely. Would be nice to have the bathrooms updated too! We stayed over Labor Day weekend and it was a little loud then but the rest of the week was quiet. The rental agent was helpful and pleasant to work with. Informed her of minor plumbing issue in the bathroom and she was quick to respond and work to get it resolved. Overall I recommend staying here!

This home is located on the ocean block and is a great value. Working with Margie made our stay very pleasurable. She provided detailed information and clear instructions in every step of the rental process through check out. This was our second time working with her. She is great!

Perfect Beach Stay

Place was clean, within walking distance to the beach, had all amenities needed and Margie was great to work with. She even reached out to us to see if the internet/cable was out due to storm. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful family vacation

Margie was wonderful to work with. She was quick to respond to my questions. The condo is exactly as pictured. The location is a very short walk to the beach. Also an easy and quick drive to the boardwalk. We will stay here on our next trip.

Great access to beach and First Landing Park

This apartment is on a short street between Atlantic Ave (the main drag) and the beach, a couple of miles up the road from the center of town. While it has no views, per se, the beach is a one-minute walk away, and the entrance to First Landing Park with its hiking trails is five-minute walk, on the other side of Atlantic Ave. The neighborhood is pretty, with lots of gardens, safe and quiet. One of my party was bothered by the traffic noise from Atlantic Ave, which is a pretty constant murmur, but I - Brooklyn-raised - hardly noticed it . The interior is clean, well laid out and attractively furnished. The living/dining room is spacious. The kitchen is a bit small - fine for my party of four, but maybe a bit tight for one that's larger. The bedrooms are fine, adequate but not huge, like the mom-and-pop room & kids rooms one might encounter in a suburban house. The three baths are very handy. We used the deck with its picnic table for most of our dinners, for the weather during our stay was very pleasant. Needing, as I do, to regularly check in with my business, I was pleased that the WiFi performed very well, without outages. I love the "nature" side of beach living and found that the location was ideally suited for that. I took long walks along the beach or on First Landing SP hiking trails every day. But probably, someone more into the "partying" side of beach living would find the location a bit isolated, for it's a ten-to-fifteen minute shlep down Atlantic Ave to the restaurants and the Boardwalk. I drove into town only three times, found on-street parking for two of them, and shelled out ten bucks to park in a private lot the other. Overall, I thought the apartment was excellent. One thing to consider when planning arrival/departure is that the keys need to be picked up and returned to a lock-box at a commercial building in the center of town, which adds about twenty minutes to the process.

Great location for the beach!

This was a great location to walk to the beach. Overall the property itself was pretty tired with rust stains all over the bathrooms and could use a deep cleaning at a minimum to get it into better shape. Road noise in the bedrooms was quite loud but luckily we brought white noise sound machines and were able to drown it out. Overall a good value for the offseason rates, I would have been disappointed paying in season rates with the overall condition of the property. Property manager was very responsive to remove a wasp nest right by the entrance and fix the broken washing machine.

61 Street Virginia Beach, September visit.

This property was a perfect place for our vacation. Great location overall. Close to town for shopping and supply runs. The boardwalk was minutes away. We walked to the large pristine beach in 90 seconds. The Condo was spacious, clean and very well appointed. The Verbo photos accurately reflect this property. The Berkshire Hathaway representatives were very helpfull, responsive and accommodating. Overall a wonderful experience and we will return.

Perfect Location and Perfect House, but...

This home was perfect, I mean perfect. Near the beach, close drive to downtown Virginia beach, great amenities (hot outdoor shower to die for), kitchen stocked with utensils and pots and pans, board games, card games, ample space for our party of 8 adults and a couple of children. We love that the living space had good distance from the bedrooms and with a door that you could shut to damp out the noise. We had an infant this helped with noise reduction. We saw a few comments about the road noise and none of us were bother by it. The outside deck is great, keeps sand out side. We had an issue with the hot water handle in one of the shower that broke off, just old. Margie was on it and it was fixed in less than 24 hours. However, we do have a comment, but its not a complaint. The house was CLEAN, very CLEAN. However we did use the out side deck quite a bit, we BBQ most nights and had dinner outside. There was one evening that we stayed outside past 9pm and we were met with cockroaches walking over out feet. YES GROSS, but like I said inside was very clean. During the day we noticed quite a bit of flies and they would wonder inside the home as well. We came to the conclusion that either their is a dead animal under the deck or its just the region. On the day we were leaving my two year old found one in side the home and killed it and showed it to me. We later found two more wondering the living space. This was the only day we saw them inside the home, but the door was constantly open so they could have just wondered in that way. All in all I would have given this home 5 starts but the cockroaches did gross us out. If we were more picky people we would have called Margie and had her do something about, but we know there was nothing she could have done. Like I said either dead animal or the region.

Wonderful week!

Great location, close to beach, only downside is noise from Atlantic avenue at night. It is otherwise a great place to stay in and use as a base to visit all the wonderful VA Beach nature sites. House has a very well equipped kitchen, spices, salt and pepper and even a crock pot! really has everything you need for a pleasant family stay-yes board games too!-. If you plan to cook don't forget to bring (paper towel, sponge for dishes). Need to bring your own linens and towels and toilet paper. Closest supermarket about 10 minutes away. Owners have taken the time to leave little notes with careful instructions that are complementary and a great reminder of what the property managers provide. Margie Chapman and her team were wonderful to deal with. Had very helpful suggestions. They were very understanding and careful to implement all COVID 19 precautions. We look forward to coming back!

Mid June visit

My family and I stayed here in the middle of June. The check in process was easy and the property manager Margie was quick to respond to a minor issue with the flooring that we reported and offered to take the keys for us so we didnt have to drop them by the office on the way out of town. The house overall was clean. The floors could use a good shampooing and there were a few cob webs and dust under furniture but overall the place was clean on arrival. The house is a little out dated but everything worked well and there was plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 kids ages 4 to 60. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. We would like to see a griddle added for making pancakes but otherwise there is everything you will need. They even offer a few games and books as well as some cleaning supplies if you need to do any cleaning. We loved that there was an outside grill and a large deck where we could all eat together outside and store all our beach things to keep the sand outside. The deck is uncovered so everything gets wet if it rains. The beds were comfortable overall and they supplied extra pillows for use. They do not provide linens but they did supply us with a company that could supply them. We chose to bring our own. The washer/dryer and dishwasher worked well. We loved the outdoor shower that had hot water so we could keep the sand out of the house. The walk to the beach was just a short walk and you cross 1 street that is more like a small alley. Traffic from the room to the beach was very minimal. I didnt time the walk but it didnt seam more than a minute. Once over the sand dunes there was only a short walk to the water edge. Sand was smooth and not full of broken shells. We were able to find some nice small shells but no large shells on this portion of the beach. The property is located 10 to 15 min to a lot of the activities in Virginia beach. Overall this was a very nice, quiet place to stay and we would definitely rent this property again if vacationing in Virginia beach. Margie was very responsive to all questions prior to renting the property. We were fortunate to have no major problems during our stay but I feel if we had Margie would have been quick to try to have it fixed for us. Thanks for a wonderful stay at Virginia beach! Hope to come back some day.
